Stock Market LIVE Updates: Chemical stocks were trading higher on Thursday, Jan 9. Navin Fluorine soared 12%, SRF 11.6%, Balaji Amines and Alkyle Amines 10.7% each.

According to reports, US gas distributors announced a price hike for refrigerant gases. IGas USA said that the supply of R32 and R125 has been impacted with prices increasing by up to 200%.

 

Brokerage firm Equirus in a note said that every $1 per kilogram change in realisations of the R32 refrigerant could increase SRF's Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) by ₹260 crore.

We will need a push above 23,752 for confirmation though, while downside marker may be placed near 23,630 or 23,570. As maintained yesterday, an outright fall below 23,263 may take a while to evolve, with major supports below seen at 23,000 and 22,260.
