Stock Market LIVE Updates: Hui Shan of Goldman Sachs on China's stimulus mearures

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Hui Shan: For China, the forecast before US election was 4.7 per cent growth next year.

In the event of a second Trump presidency, and 20 per cent tariffs on Chinese goods would increase the risks significantly.

THe impact of a 20 per cent tariff rate on Chinese growth would be around 70 bps, so China growth would come in at 4 per cent.

But we are expecting currency depreciation and the stimulus measures to offset some of the downside risks, bringing Chinese growth close to 4.5 per cent.
