Stock Market Highlights LIVE Updates: A fall below 23,200 level could trigger a correction in the market

Following a weak start, Nifty traded within a narrow range throughout the day. The index remained below the 200-DMA, indicating persistent weak sentiment in the market. The RSI indicator has reentered a bearish crossover, further supporting the negative sentiment.

In the short term, sentiment remains weak, with support placed at 23,200. A fall below this level could trigger a correction in the market. On the upside, resistance is placed at 23,550; a decisive move above this level might induce a rally in the market.

Stock Market Highlights LIVE Updates: FII selling surges again, adversely affecting market sentiment

The domestic market faced renewed pressure due to escalating tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and heightened the nuclear concerns. Additionally, the fresh Adani case with the US DoJ added to the market's woes.

Although there were signs of a slowdown in FII selling, it surged again, adversely affecting market sentiment particularly financials sector. We expect an improvement in the trend when global & domestic political issues stabilise.
