Ambuja Cements, part of Adani Group, in a top-level rejig, has appointed Vinod Bahety as its new CEO and designated the incumbent Ajay Kapur as the managing director.
The board of Ambuja Cements has approved the "Appointment of Vinod Bahety as Additional Director and Whole-time Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company for a term of three years", the company said in a regulatory filing.
Besides, Ambuja Cements, the second largest cement producer in the country, has also announced the appointment of Rakesh Tiwary as Chief Financial Officer of the company.
The board also approved the appointment of Praveen Garg as a Non-Executive Independent director on the Board of the Company for three years.
All these changes are going to be effective from April 1, 2025, the filing said.
Meanwhile, ACC, a step-down subsidiary of Ambuja Cement, also informed the cessation of Ajay Kapur as its whole-time director and CEO.

Karnataka government has approved 69 projects with a total investment of Rs 3500.86 crore during the 152nd meeting of the state-level monitoring committee held here on Saturday.
These projects approved under the leadership of Minister for Large, Medium Industries, and Infrastructure Development M B Patil are expected to create employment opportunities for approximately 24,954 people across the state, a statement from the minister's office said.
Among the notable approvals are Jyoti CNC Automation Limited, which plans to invest Rs 285 crore on machine tool centre with an employment of 3,394 people, and Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd plans to invest Rs 250 crore in manufacturing of soaps and detergents.
Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Private Limited plans to invest Rs 249 crore in manufacturing of beverages.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone, initiate the commencement of work and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects of more than Rs 33,700 crore related to various sectors in Chhattisgarh on Sunday.

The Rajya Sabha on Thursday returned the Finance Bill 2025 to the Lok Sabha, along with 35 government amendments, including one that abolishes a 6 per cent digital tax on online advertisements, thus completing the 2025-26 budgetary exercise that started on February 1.
The House also returned the Appropriation Bill (3) with a voice vote.
Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had moved the two bills in the House.
The Lok Sabha had passed the Finance Bill on March 25 and passed the Appropriation Bill on March 21.
Replying to the debate later in the evening, she said the tendency of the finance ministry would be to exercise caution and not let go of revenues.
"But, here we wanted to use this opportunity to show our respect for Indian taxpayer. We have moved towards setting Rs 12 lakh as threshold up to which no one will have to pay any tax," Sitharaman said.
