China's electric vehicle major BYD is keen to have manufacturing operations in India as soon as 'all factors' suggest a 'go ahead' and the plan is under constant evaluation, according to a top official of the company's Indian arm.
Despite the political tension between India and China resulting in visa issues, the company has not felt any impact of it on its operations in the country and has also found acceptance of its products from the 'pragmatic' Indian customers, BYD India Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business Rajeev Chauhan told PTI.
In an interaction on the sidelines of the Auto Expo held as part of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, he said the company, which unveiled its premium electric SUV SEALION 7, will be considering the homologation route for more models to be able to sell more vehicles in India.

NCLT has directed for the liquidation of debt-ridden Tulip Hotels, as the tribunal failed to receive any bidder during its insolvency resolution process within the prescribed timeline.
On May 16, 2023, the NCLT had directed the initiation of a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) against Tulip Hotels over a plea filed by Yes Bank, claiming a default of Rs 900 crore for two corporate guarantees issued by it.
Tulip Hotels was a corporate guarantor for two loans disbursed by Yes Bank to Cox & Kings and EzeeGo One Travel and Tours Ltd. After they defaulted, the financial creditor Yes Bank invoked the guarantee of Rs 450 crore each given for both loans.
However, the RP of Tulip Hotels submitted that during the prescribed timeline of 180 days, no bids (resolution plan) were submitted for Tulip Hotels during the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) and the Committee of Creditor (CoC) has also passed no for extension of the period.

ISRO chairman V Narayanan on Saturday said the space-docking experiment (SpaDeX) of satellites was successful and the results will be useful for multiple purposes, including future missions like Chandrayaan 4, Gaganyaan and India's space station.
Narayanan, who arrived in Kerala after the successful space-docking test, told reporters at the airport here that it was a team effort by the ISRO and the results of the test were being reviewed.
"Right now the situation is that all the things are successfully docked and it is in space safely. Now we are studying all the results. My team is reviewing the results and we will take the proper decision at the proper time," he said.
The scientist further said that the docking experiment would be useful for multiple purposes.
