State-owned Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) will invest Rs 61,000 crore to set up a naphtha cracker project at Paradip in Odisha, a statement said on Tuesday.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this will be signed between the Odisha government and the IOCL in January during the 'Utkarsh Odisha  Make in Odisha 2025' summit, it said.
The foundation stone of the IOC's upcoming Rs 4,352 crore yarn project at Bhadrak will also be laid at that time, it added.
The decisions were taken at a meeting between Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and IOCL Chairman AS Sahney in Bhubaneswar.
"The Naphtha Project in Paradeep has received in principle approval and IOCL will invest over Rs 61,000 crore for the project. It is likely to be one of the largest projects in the sector in the country. The Delhi High Court has directed the city government to take expeditious steps for filling up posts of non-official members of the Delhi Mental Health Authority.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru further said once the authority is constituted, it would take expeditious steps for the constitution of review boards according to the Mental Health Care Act.
The bench, also comprising Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, clarified that the process of constituting the authority and the boards shall not be impeded by imposition of the Model Code of Conduct in view of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
The court passed the order on December 12 while dealing with two petitions seeking the enforcement of provisions of the mental health law, including the constitution of the state mental health authority as well as the district mental health review boards.

The city police on Wednesday warned that action will be taken against those who spread false information or posting misleading videos on social media about the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident.
The police in a post on 'X' said it had come to their notice that some people posted false videos that the stampede had taken place even before actor Allu Arjun arrived at the theatre on December 4.
The department said it has already released a video of  "facts" that emerged after investigation. "However, it has come to our attention that some people have deliberately posted videos on social media claiming that the stampede occurred even before Allu Arjun arrived.
"We will take legal action against those who deliberately spread misinformation even when the case is under investigation," it said.
