New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party's MP, Manoj Tiwari announced compensation of Rupees 5 lakhs each to families who have lost their lives in fire incident at Old Delhi's Anaj Mandi. "It's a sad incident. As per initial information, fire broke out due to short circuit. BJP will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakhs each to families of those who have lost their lives and Rs 25,000 to injured," said Manoj Tiwari. Massive fire that broke out at a factory on Dec 08 claimed at least 43 lives and more than 50 people have been rescued and were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Kalyani Powertrain, an arm of Bharat Forge, on Thursday said it has entered into a technology licensing agreement with Taiwan's Compal Electronics Inc for manufacturing of 'X86 platform' servers in India.
The two parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop server business using locally manufactured solutions in India.
Compal will provide Kalyani Powertrain Ltd (KPTL) technological support related to servers, including overseeing local production, assembly, testing activities, and final sales, the company said in a statement.
"This association will give a strong impetus to India's manufacturing competitiveness. We are ecstatic and encouraged by the trust they have reposed on the Kalyani group for the proposed association," Bharat Forge Vice Chairman and Joint MD Amit Kalyani said.
Compal CEO Tony Bonadero said Kalyani Powertrain's extensive experience in the Indian market will create synergistic effects in the collaboration.

German semiconductor company Infineon has signed its first agreement in India with CDIL Semiconductors to supply silicon wafer for manufacturing power chips in the country, senior officials of the firm said here on Thursday.
Under the agreement, Infineon will supply bare semiconductor wafers to CDIL, which the Indian firm will process and use for assembly and packaging to make power chipset for use in products like power inverters, solar technology, automobile power solutions, and renewable energy applications, among others.
"Infineon will provide silicon to CDIL. India is a special and very large market where we need partners like CDIL who understand the local requirement. This is the first of its kind agreement that we have signed in India," Infineon technologies Asia Pacific President and Managing Director CS Chua said after signing the agreement.
Founded in 1964, Continental Device India (CDIL) is India's first semiconductor manufacturer, specialising in discrete semiconductors

A bench of Justices B R Gavai and Augustine George Masih made the observation after being informed that the Punjab and Haryana High Court posted the hearing of a plea for temporary bail on medical grounds after two months.
The petitioner's counsel said he had approached the high court for the grant of temporary bail on the ground that his client's two-year-old daughter needed urgent surgery.
The lawyer argued the high court, in its order passed on February 21, posted the matter on April 22.
"In the matters of liberty, the courts are not expected to keep the matter at such a long date," the bench said and permitted the petitioner to move the high court for an earlier hearing.
The bench asked the high court to advance the date and hear the issue at least with regard to grant of temporary bail on the medical ground of operation of the petitioner's daughter.
