Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of favouring builders like Ansal API during its tenure.
Speaking during a discussion on Budget in the state assembly, Adityanath also reassured homebuyers, saying no one should think they can escape after taking money from the common man and the poor.
"Our government will track down such individuals even from the depths of hell," the chief minister said.
While memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed in the past, their real value lies in implementation, which did not happen under previous governments, Adityanath claimed.
Stating that every such case is being closely monitored, Adityanath said, "We saw an example of this today, and I have ordered an FIR against it. Ansal was your (SP's) creation. It was under your government that all its illegal activities were facilitated, deceiving investors and homebuyers."

The second round of the trial incineration of the waste linked to the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district is likely to begin from Wednesday, officials said.  Preparations for the second round continued on Tuesday.
As part of the plan to dispose of 337 tonnes of waste from the defunct Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, it was transported to the disposal plant run by a private company in Pithampur, about 250 km from the state capital, on January 2.  The Madhya Pradesh High Court had ordered that trials for the disposal of this waste be conducted in three rounds with adherence to all safety norms, and also directed that reports of all three tests are to be presented before the court on March 27. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday questioned the validity of sanctions obtained by the CBI to prosecute him in a corruption case connected to alleged irregularities in the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
The former railway minister made the submission through his lawyer before special judge Vishal Gogne during the arguments on whether to frame charges against him in the case.
The allegations include criminal conspiracy, cheating and corruption, which carry a maximum jail term of seven years.
