Meet the farmer, who owns 'Swaran Shatabdi' train

Ludhiana (Punjab), Mar 18 (ANI): Sampuran Singh, a farmer based in Katana village of Ludhiana, became the temporary owner of the train 'Swaran Shatabdi' after the Northern Railways failed to provide the compensation amount to the farmer for which the Court ordered an attachment of the Swarna Shatabdi to the aggrieved farmer. The compensation amount was enhanced by the court from Rs 25 lakhs to Rs 50 lakhs per acre but the railways failed to pay the amount. Besides the Shatabdi, the Court also ordered attachment of station officer's room of the Ludhiana railway station.
