The Pakistan team, who were beaten by Qatar in the quarterfinal, have shown determination and are almost overpowering India, who were beaten by Japan in the quarterfinal. 

 

Both India and Pakistan beat higher-ranked opponents South Korea and Chinese Taipei on their way to the top six.

India’s Sumit Nagal, after a breakdown, broke the opponent’s next serve and won the second set 6-4. He had won the first set 7-6. He becomes the second Indian after Ankita Raina in women’s singles to enter the quarterfinal.
