Asian Games Live Updates | Men’s 800m race- Silver for Mohammed Afsal Pulikkalakath

 
India’s Mohammed Afsal finishes second in the men’s 800m race. He led right from the front and kept at it. Another Indian, Krishan Kumar could not decide where he wanted to run, or which lane he wanted to be a part of and that cost him a medal here. 
 
Krishan Kumar at the fifth position for which he had to push another runner because the lanes were not clear enough. Had he been consistent, he would have won a medal.

This is probably one of the best races that people would have witnessed at the Hangzhou Olympics Centre Stadium. Parul ran probably the best race of her life, taking over the Japanese in literally the last few metres after trailing for most part of the race.

Asian Games Live Updates | Men’s Boxing- Shocking loss for India’s Sachin

 
India’s Sachin Siwach was shocked that the result didn't fall in his favour even as he dominated the second and third rounds. He went down on a split decision of 4:1 after two judges scored the same for both the pugilists, but preferred the Chinese over Sachin. India's Sachin was playing in the red corner.

Asian Games 2023 LIVE | Men's Decathlon- Tejashwin Shankar second after Javelin throw

 
India's Tejashwin Shankar, who led after the end of the first six disciplines of the decathlon event has now slid to the second position after the end of the next four events. Javelin Throw, Pole Vault and Discuss Throw are not his favourite disciplines. Now it will be the 1500m race that will decide what medal will Shankar have, if he has any.

Asian Games 2023 LIVE | Men's Decathlon- Tejashwin Shankar finishes second last in Javelin Throw

 
India's Tejashwin Shankar finished fifth in the Javelin throw category of the men's decathlon. This was the second last part of the 10-disc[pline decathlon event which will culminate with a 1500m race later tonight.

Asian Games Live Updates | Men’s 400m hurdles- Indians finish five and six

 
India’s Yashas Palaksha and Santosh Kumar Tamilarsan finish in the fifth and sixth positions after threatening to win at least a medal for quite some time in the race. Their timings of 49.39 and 49.41 were far from their personal best timings. Had both merited their personal best, they might have had a medal.
