Asian Games Live Updates | Men’s Squash Quarterfinal- Saurav Ghosal enters semi-final

 

India’s Saurav Ghosal has confirmed his fifth straight individual medal in Squash at the Asian Games. Having won Silver in the men’s singles at Incheon 2014 and bronze at Jakarta-Palembang, Ghosal has entered the semi-final here with a straight 3-0 win, securing a medal for himself. 

 

This would be Ghosal’s 8th Asian Games medal out of which two have been Gold in team events, a silver in Individual events and four bronze medals, once in team event and thrice in individual events. If he is able to win a gold in the individual event, he could become one of India’s best-ever athletes at the Asian Games.

Asian Games 2023 LIVE | Mixed Doubles- India's Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh in semis

 

Another Indian duo Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh have entered the semis of the Mixed Doubles quarterfinal of the Squash event. So now there are two Indian pairs in the semi-final of the Mixed Doubles.

India’s Sourav Ghosal has taken a 2-0 lead in the men’s quarterfinal lead. He won the first game 11-7 and the second one 12-10.

It was a frustrating result for Tanvi Khanna as she went down to her Japanese opponent in straight sets 3-0. She had the opportunity to win the third set and stretch the match into the next one, but she let go of five game points to eventually lose the set 12-10
