India's Ojas Deotale made it an all-India final after he too beat his Korean opponent to enter the final of the men's compound event in Archery. This has secured two more medals for India at the Asian Games 2023. Deotale shot perfect 150 out of possible 150 to get this win by four points.

India's ace pugilist Lovlina Borgohain won her semi-final bout in the women's 75kg to advance to the final and book her place in the Paris Olympics as well. Salam Sunil Singh and Arjun Singh won the first medal of the day as they bagged bronze in the men's Canoe double 1000m sprint race. India's men's cricket team beat Nepal by 23 runs in the quarterfinal to enter the semi-final. Preeti Pawar settled for bronze in the women's 54kg boxing event after she lost her semi-final match.

This is a bizarre play from India’s receive archers. First Atanau Das blew up his chance, and here Dhiraj was unable to even get two of his arrows on the shot and in the shoot-off, he could only shoot a nine, bowling out of the match eventually. And with this India’s contention in individual recurve archery comes to an end.
