Asian Games Live | Men’s Archery- Atanu Das bows out in quarterfinal
India’s Atanu Das had a golden opportunity to move to the semi-final and continue India’s great run in the archery competition at the Asian Games 2023. However, he failed to convert it as he shot two nines and one 10 against his Chinese opponent’s two 10s and nine. The match was tied after both the archers won 5 set points each.
In the shoot-off, both shot 10, but Atanu’s arrow was further away from the centre point than his Chinese opponent and therefore he had to bow out in the Shoot-Off.

Asian Games Live | Sepaktakraw- India lose in Men’s Quadrant, fail to reach semis
The Indian Quadrant team, which beat the Philippines and Singapore, lost to South Korea and as a result failed to qualify for the semi-final. South Korea didn’t qualify either as they had lost to the Philippines and because of a better score difference, it was the Philippines that went ahead of India to reach the semi-final along with Japan from group B. In the other group Indonesia and Vietnam had qualified.

In the women’s category of the Sport Climbing Speed event qualification, two Indians- Anisha Verma and Shivpreet Pannu finished 13th and 14th respectively to move to the round of 16 as well.
