The start of the Premier League matchweek 10 produced some thrilling results which took a toll on teams aiming to finish in the top 5 at the end of the campaign too. Whil Mikel Arteta's Arsenal were handed another away defeat by the hands of Eddie Howe's Newcastle United at St. James Park, defending champions Manchester City failed to get any point too as Bournemouth registered a brilliant 2-1 win at the Vitality Stadium.
Liverpool though survived a scare and overcame a challenging Brighton side 2-1 on the night at Anfield which took them to the top spot with 25 points in the bag now.
The big surprise entrants into the top 5 of the league are Nottingham Forest who have taken the 3rd spot with 19 points after their 10 games. Forest beat 10-man West ham United 3-0 at home to get their 5th win of the season in what has been a dream start for the side under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
