Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

IIFL Facilities Services on Thursday bought additional shares of Avanti Feeds for Rs 470 crore through an open market transaction.
IIFL Facilities Services is an arm of IIFL Capital Services and a part of IIFL Group.
According to the block deal data available on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), IIFL Facilities Services purchased 59.77 lakh shares or 4.4 per cent stake in Avanti Feeds.
The shares were acquired at an average price of Rs 786 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 469.82 crore.
Thailand-based Thai Union Group offloaded a similar number of shares at the same price, as per the NSE data.
Shares of Avanti Feeds went up 0.36 per cent to close at Rs 788.95 apiece on the NSE.
On Tuesday, IIFL Facilities Services picked up a 4.4 per cent stake in Hyderabad-based Avanti Feeds for Rs 435 crore.
Thai Union Group is a producer of seafood based products.

Knowledge Realty Trust (KRT) has filed the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI to launch Initial Public Offering (IPO) and list the REIT on stock exchanges, as part of its strategy to monetise its 30 prime office assets across major cities.
KRT will be the largest REIT in India in terms of Net Operating Income (NOI) and Gross Asset Value which is estimated at around Rs 60,000 crore.
KRT plans to raise around Rs 6,200 crore through REIT-IPO, according to its DRHP.
At present, there are four listed REITs in India -- Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, and Nexus Select Trust.

Coromandel International Ltd, part of the diversified conglomerate Murugappa Group, has set a target to double the sulphur manufacturing capacity to 50,000 metric tonne and has opened the second manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh in this connection, a top official said.
The facility in Visakhapatnam is aimed at ensuring a steady supply of high-quality Bentonite Sulphur fertilisers to the farmers.
The production unit is the company's wholly backward integrated facility and produces approximately 12 LMT of complex fertilisers along with Phosphoric and Sulphuric acid. The site also hosts a Sulphur Fertiliser plant with 25,000 MT production capacity.
"With the inauguration of this new plant, the company's Sulphur fertiliser capacity is doubled," a company statement here said on Thursday.

An Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi returned to the US city after being airborne for more than ten hours on Thursday, with the airline saying the return was due to a technical issue.
However, a source aware of the development told PTI that the aircraft had to return as many of the lavatories were clogged.
The flight was operated with a Boeing 777-337 ER aircraft and returned to Chicago's ORD airport after being airborne for over ten hours, according to information available on flight tracking website flightradar24.com.
There are 10 lavatories, including two for first-class passengers, in the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft operated by Air India and has little over 340 seats, including first, business and economy class seats, the source said.
The source also said only 1 lavatory was functional.

Expanding its international operations, IndiGo will start non-stop long-haul flights to Manchester and Amsterdam with the leased Boeing 787-9 planes from July this year.
Making the announcement on Thursday, the airline said the development signals a significant step in its journey to become a global player by 2030 and also make India a global aviation hub.
Also, the carrier is evaluating multiple markets in Europe for long-haul flights.
