Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Tuesday launched in India its Pad 6 tablet. The tablet comes in two variants with different RAMs and storage configurations. The base model has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, priced at Rs 26,999. The top-end model offers 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, priced at Rs 28,999. For the Pad 6, Xiaomi has introduced three new accessories. These include the 2nd generation Xiaomi Smart Pen, priced at Rs 5,999, the Xiaomi Pad 6 keyboard case for Rs 4,999, and the Xiaomi Pad 6 case for Rs 1,499.
As for the introductory offers, there is an instant discount of Rs 3,000 available for ICICI Bank card users that brings down the effective prices to Rs 23,999 and Rs 25,999 for the respective models. The tablet will be available for purchase starting June 21 through various channels, including Amazon, Mi online store, and Xiaomi retail stores across India.
Along with the Xiaomi Pad 6 and accessories, Xiaomi has launched the Buds 4 Active wireless earbuds with features like Google Fast Pair, IPX4 rating, and more, priced at Rs 1,399.
Xiaomi Pad 6: Specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 6 sports an 11-inch 2.8K 10-bit IPS LCD display of 144Hz refresh rate with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 system-on-chip, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Similar to the Xiaomi Pad 5, the Pad 6 has a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. Besides, the tablet supports Hi-Res audio over wireless and wired. The tablet has a single 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP camera on the front. It boots Android 13-based MIUI 14 specifically designed for tablets, with additional customisation features.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 is powered by an 8,840 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. It also supports up to 4K output to televisions. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. However, it does not have cellular connectivity.
