Galaxy Unpacked highlights: Samsung announces AI-powered S24 series phones
At its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17, Samsung announced the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 smartphones packed with AI features and more
Samsung has unveil its much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 series today at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, California. With spotlight on artificial intelligence, the South Korean electronics maker ushers in a new era of AI smartphones with features such as Google-powered Circle to Search, AI Live Translation, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, and more.
As for the specifications, the flagship model, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, boasts a powerful configuration with up to 12GB RAM and a generous 1TB on-board storage. Likewise, the Plus model offers 12GB RAM and up to 512GB on-board storage configuration. In contrast, the base model offers 8GB RAM and up to 512GB on-board storage.
Imaging is covered by a quad-camera system on the Ultra model, featuring a 200MP main camera sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 50MP telephoto (5x) with OIS, and a 10MP telephoto (3x) with OIS. On the front, the phone has a 12MP camera sensor.
On the Plus and base model, there is a triple-camera array on the back, encompassing a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10MP telephoto (3x). Both these models sport a 12MP camera on the front.
As for the build, the top-tier Galaxy S24 Ultra has a titanium frame, while the base and Plus models maintain the aluminium construction of their predecessors.
