Reliance Brands, part of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), is planning to buy Ed-a-Mamma, a kidswear brand promoted by Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, according to an industry source. The leading retailer would ultimately acquire the company, which specialises in providing sustainable clothing options for kids at affordable rates. Talks between Reliance Brands and the kidswear retailer, which mainly sells online are in the final stages, the industry source said. According to a media report, the deal is estimated to be around Rs 300 crore. The deal would help strengthen Reliance Brands' play into the branded kidswear segment, which is rapidly growing in the country. Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji on Sunday announced that the team of "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" will be offering the film's tickets at Rs 100 for the next four days to mark the Navratri festival. In an Instagram post, the filmmaker said the new "scheme" is a result of the team's experience during the National Cinema Day on Friday, when ticket prices were offered at a "celebratory admission price" of Rs 75 at over 4000 screens across the country. "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" has crossed the Rs 150 crore-mark in gross box office collection worldwide in the first two days of its release, the makers said Sunday. Released on September 9, the first installment of the big-budget fantasy adventure epic starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan had collected Rs 75 crore on its opening day. According to production banners Star Studios and Dharma Productions, the second day figures of "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" stood at Rs 85, bringing up the total collection to Rs 160 crores.
