Expressing concern over the financial health of the Congress government in Telangana, Jayadev Galla, Chairman of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility on Saturday said if it does not honour the commitments made by the previous BRS regime, then they may have to look elsewhere for its plant's capacity expansion. Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies Pvt Ltd on Monday said it has signed a licensing agreement with GIB EnergyX Slovakia s.r.o., for lithium-ion cells technology. As part of the agreement, GIB EnergyX, a subsidiary of Gotion High-Tech Co Ltd, will license Gotion's 'LFP technology' for lithium-ion cells to Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies (ARACT), a wholly-owned arm of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd (ARE&M), the company said in a statement. Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd on Friday said it has secured a 700 MWp solar project from Greenko in Andhra Pradesh. With the latest win, the order book of Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL) stands at Rs 1,516 crore at the end of FY24, the company said in a statement. "ARIPL has achieved a significant milestone in the renewable energy sector by securing a solar BoS project of 500 MW/700MWp from Greenko," it said. The project spans across an area of 2,200 acre site near Uyyalavada Town in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The work includes Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the entire balance of system (BoS) for the 700 MWp (Megawatt peak) project, which is part of Greenko's Integrated Renewable Energy Project.

Amara Raja Batteries on Wednesday said its consolidated net profit increased by 53 per cent to Rs 222 crore for the third quarter ended December 2022. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 145 crore in the October-December period of last fiscal. Total income rose to Rs 2,664 crore in the third quarter as against Rs 2,385 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing. Amara Raja Batteries Ltd on Thursday reported a 39.42 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 201.22 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, driven by higher sales. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 144.32 crore in the same period last fiscal, Amara Raja Batteries said in a regulatory filing. The consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 2,700.47 crore against Rs 2,264.15 crore in the year-ago period. Its total expenses were higher at Rs 2,449.11 crore compared to Rs 2,097.17 crore a year ago, the filing said. The Board of Directors at its meeting held on Thursday also approved an interim dividend of Rs 2.90 per equity share of the face value of Re 1 each, it added.
