GCMMF expects double-digit revenue growth in FY25 on strong Amul demand

Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which sells dairy products under the 'Amul' brand, is expecting double-digit growth in revenue during this fiscal on strong demand, its MD Jayen Mehta said. GCMMF had seen a demand of nearly Rs 60,000 crore last year. GCMMF's turnover increased 8 per cent in the 2023-24 financial year to Rs 59,445 crore. In an interview with PTI, Mehta said the co-operative has witnessed growth in demand across all product categories, including fresh milk, cheese and ice cream, during the first eight months of the current 2024-25 fiscal. "We are expecting a double-digit growth in the turnover," he said when asked about the revenue outlook for the full financial year. Mehta said the GCMMF handled 310 lakh litre of milk per day on average during the last fiscal. It has a total annual milk processing capacity of around 500 lakh litre. Amul will enter the European market by the end of this month after launching its products in the US, GCMMF Managing Director Jayen S Mehta said on Monday. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) sells its dairy products under the popular Amul brand. "We will be launching milk...fresh products in Europe by the end of this month," he said at the annual convocation of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) here. The company will launch the products in Spain first and then look at expanding to other countries in Europe. Amul brand operator GCMMF says turnover rises 8% to Rs 59,445 cr in FY24

Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which sells dairy products under Amul brand, on Saturday said its turnover has increased by 8 per cent to Rs 59,445 crore in the financial year ending March 2024 on better sales. "In the Golden Jubilee year of GCMMF, the organization registered a turnover of Rs 59,545 crore (USD 7 billion) for the financial year 2023-24 with a growth of 8 per cent year-on-year," the cooperative said in a statement after its 50th annual general meeting. The group turnover of brand Amul reached Rs 80,000 crore (USD 10 billion) in 2023-24 from Rs 72,000 crore (USD 9 billion) in 2022-23. Police on Saturday registered a case against seven users of social media platform 'X' for allegedly spreading misinformation that the "low quality" ghee used for making laddus at the Tirupati temple belonged to the 'Amul' brand, an official said. The Delhi High Court has directed a Noida-resident to remove her social media posts that alleged she found a centipede in a tub of Amul ice cream bought by her. Amul milk price hiked by Rs 2 per litre across all variants from June 3

The price of Amul milk across all variants has been hiked by Rs 2 per litre with effect from Monday in view of the increase in the overall cost of operation and production of milk, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) said. With this, the price of the Amul milk pouch will go up by Rs 2 per litre in all markets across the country. The price of Amul milk across all variants has been raised by Rs 2 per litre with effect from June 3, said Jayen Mehta, MD of GCMMF, which markets the milk and dairy products under the 'Amul' brand. The last time GCMMF had raised the milk price was in February 2023. The hike is necessitated to compensate farmers for their increased cost of production, Mehta said. Indian dairy giant Amul will sponsor USA and South Africa during the T20 World Cup in June, the cricket boards of the respective teams announced on Thursday. Amul launching four variants of milk in US market within a week: MD Mehta

For the first time, Amul fresh milk will be available outside India, with the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) launching four variants of milk in the US market within a week, to cater to Indian diaspora and Asian population.
