Commercial vehicles maker Ashok Leyland on Tuesday reported a 10 per cent increase in total sales at 12,974 units in April 2023, as compared to the same month last year. The company had registered total sales of 11,847 units in the same month a year ago, Ashok Leyland said in a regulatory filing. Domestic sales also rose 10 per cent last month at 12,366 units, as compared to 11,197 units in April 2022. Exports were marginally down at 608 units last month, as compared to 650 units in the year-ago period.
Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland has rolled out an e-marketplace 'Re-AL' for used commercial vehicles segment, the automajor said on Saturday. Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland has reported a 19 per cent rise in its sales in domestic and overseas markets at 23,926 units, the company said on Monday. The city-based heavy commercial vehicle maker had sold 20,123 units in the corresponding month of last year. Cumulative sales made by the auto major till March 2023 grew by 50 per cent to 1,92,205 units from 1,28,326 units sold in the corresponding period of last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement. Total sales of medium, heavy and light commercial vehicles sold in March in the domestic market grew by 23 per cent to 22,885 units from 18,556 units sold in the same month of last year. Cumulative sales of medium, heavy and light commercial vehicles till March in the domestic market grew by 54 per cent to 1,80,916 units from 1,17,312 units made last year, the company said.

Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland total vehicle sales, including exports, rose 23 per cent to 17,200 units in January. The company had reported its total vehicle sales at 13,939 units in the year-ago period, it said on Wednesday. Domestic sales (M&HCV and LCV) in the reporting month were recorded at 16,198 units, a growth of 27 per cent over 12,709 units in January 2022. M&HCV domestic sales were at 10,108 vehicles during the previous month, logging a 34 per cent growth over January 2022 when the company had sold 7,561 units in the local market. At the same time, LCV domestic sales spiked 18 per cent at 6,090 units in January, the company said.
