Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp on Friday launched BS-VI compliant version of its popular Splendor+ motorcycle with price starting at Rs 59,600. The company also introduced BS-VI versions of its two scooter models -- Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 with price starting at Rs 64,310 and Rs 67,950 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement. Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said, "With Splendor+ BS-VI, the updated Destini 125 BS-VI and Maestro Edge 125 BS-VI, we have migrated almost our entire portfolio shift to BS-VI norms, well ahead of the deadline." He further said,"At Hero MotoCorp we are geared-up for exciting times in the coming weeks with a lineup of new product launches, which should help in reinvigorating customer sentiments as well." The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday said it has commenced despatching of its first BS-VI compliant scooter model -- Pleasure+ 110 FI. The scooter in BS-VI avatar is priced at Rs 54,800 for self-start sheet wheel and Rs 56,800 for self-start alloy wheel trim. "We have been smoothly migrating to BS-VI norms, with the Pleasure+ 110 BS-VI coming in quick succession to the HF Deluxe and Splendor iSmart BS-VI motorcycles," Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning - Malo Le Masson said in a statement. The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Friday said it has launched BS-VI compliant version of its multi-purpose van Eeco, priced between Rs 3.8 lakh and Rs 6.84 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi/NCR). In rest of the country, the model would be priced between Rs 3.9 lakh and Rs 6.94 lakh. "Introduction of the BS-VI in Eeco will further bolster our commitment towards a cleaner environment," MSI Executive Director (Marketing & Sales)Shashank Shrivastava said in a statement. The product is the company's ninth model which has been upgraded to comply with the upcoming stringent emission norms. Last year, Eeco wholesales had crossed 1 lakh units for the first time, reflecting growth of 36 per cent over 2018 wholesale volumes. The model, which was launched in January 2010, has already crossed cumulative sales mark of 6.5 lakh units.
