A court here on Wednesday directed the director general of Delhi prisons to submit a report on the conduct of Christian Michel James, an alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland case, during his incarceration. Hearing James' application for production of conduct report, Special Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal said, "Issue notice of the above application to the ED as well as to the superintendent (of the) jail concerned (in) Tihar with directions to the DG (Prisons), Delhi, to file a consolidated report qua the above application positively on or before March 18." The court previously imposed bail conditions in the cases against James, who was extradited from Dubai in December 2018 before being arrested by the CBI and the ED later. James was addressing special judge Sanjeev Aggarwal when he made the plea. The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to alleged middleman Christian Michel James in the Rs 3,600-crore AgustaWestland money laundering case. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma granted the reprieve to James after the order on his bail plea was reserved on February 28. Details of the order are awaited. A Delhi court on Tuesday dismissed the bail application of alleged middleman Christian Michel in a corruption case related to alleged AgustaWestland scam considering the serious nature of accusations and gravity of offence. Special Judge Arvind Kumar dismissed the application moved by Michel, claiming parity with other accused in the case.
