"Cricket Australia (CA) can confirm that cricketer Tahlia McGrath has returned a positive test for Covid-19. CGA clinical staff have consulted with the Commonwealth Games Federation RACEG (Results Analysis Clinical Expert Group) team and match officials, and McGrath is taking part in today's final against India. "McGrath presented to team management with mild symptoms on Sunday and subsequently returned the positive test. She was named in the starting XI at the toss and the International Cricket Council (ICC) approved her participation in the final," said Cricket Australia in a statement. Air India has said Navneet Singh, who was part of the four-member team that won India's first-ever lawn bowls medal at the Commonwealth Games, can appear next month for the pilot entrance exam scheduled for Sunday. PTI had reported on Saturday that Delhi-based Singh, who aspires to be a commercial pilot, will be missing Air India's entrance exam on Sunday. Singh is the youngest member of the quartet that secured the silver medal on Saturday. "I recently got my commercial pilot licence and I have an exam with Air India tomorrow but I can't reach there. Now that we finally have a medal, it is okay," Singh told PTI after India lost the men's four finals to Northern Ireland. India's Sreeja Akula suffered a heartbreaking loss at the Commonwealth Games here as she went down to Australia's Yangzi Liu 3-4 in a close bronze medal play-off. Sreeja went down 11-3 6-11 2-11 11-7 13-15 11-9 7-11 after staging a slew of comebacks in a match that lasted more than one and a half hour. The Hyderabad-born paddler made a confident start against Liu who appeared quite nervous and the former took advantage of that to race to a 11-3 win the first game. The Australian bounced back with a more attacking intent and clinched the second game 11-6 to draw level. Buoyed by her comeback in the second game, Liu continued from where she left off and did not allow the Indian to find any rhythm, and won the third game 11-2.
