Mallya, who joined the US-based semiconductor major in 2000 as business development manager in India for financial services segment, will develop new growth areas in the South Asian region. An electrical engineering graduate and MBA in marketing from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirapalli, Mallya was Director for Intel's Datacenter Group in Asia before this role.
