250 exhibitors to showcase solutions at Delhi Machine Tool Expo next week

Over 250 exhibitors are expected to participate and display their technology solutions at Delhi Machine Tool Expo (DMTX 2023) to be held here next week, according to a statement. The fourth edition of the Delhi Machine Tool Expo (DMTX 2023) organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA), will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from August 24-27, 2023, the statement said. Both Indian and foreign exhibitors are expected to participate and connect with more than 15,000 visitors that are expected to attend the expo. "The previous edition of the show held in Pragati Maidan in 2017 had evoked a good response from the manufacturing industry. Machine tool manufacturers who participated in the show were able to expand their range," IMTMA President Ravi Raghavan said, adding that he expects DMTX 2023 would help them build on to their earlier success and reach out to many more industries in the northern region of India. MoUs worth Rs 1,53,000 crore signed at DefExpo 2022, says official

As many as 451 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore were signed during the Defence Expo or DefExpo 2022 at Gandhinagar, a senior official said. During the valedictory function of the 12th edition of DefExpo at the Mahatma Mandir convention centre, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed the audience that it had broken previous records in terms of business generation. "This was the most outstanding defence expo ever. It saw the highest number of exhibitors, which is in addition to tens of thousands of business visitors. The extent of business this defence expo has generated has surpassed all the previous records," said Kumar. India to achieve $22 bn turnover in defence production by 2025: Rajnath

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the central government is making efforts to achieve a turnover of USD 22 billion by 2025 in defence production. Speaking at the 'Invest in Defence' event as part of the ongoing Defence Expo 2022 in Gujaray capital Gandhinagar, Singh also appealed to investors to approach him or defence ministry officials without any hesitation to resolve issues. He appealed to private players to come forward and invest in the Indian defence industry, saying it is at an important juncture. Defence Expo to be inaugurated by PM on Oct 19 to be country's biggest-ever

The scale of upcoming Defence Expo, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi here, will be much bigger than the last time and the government expects to sign more than 400 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to bring investment in the upwards of Rs 1.25 lakh crore, officials said on Friday. The Defence Expo (DefExpo 2022) will be held in Gandhinagar from October 18 to 22. "This 12th edition of Defence Expo will be the biggest in the country, with its theme being 'Path to Pride'. It will showcase our commitment to become atmanirbhar (self-reliant) in defence production. It will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on October 19," Defence secretary Dr Ajay Kumar said.
