Meta, Telangana govt partnership for e-gov, citizen svcs leveraging AI tech

Social media giant Meta on Thursday announced a two-year partnership with the Telangana government aimed at enhancing e-governance and citizen services using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. According to a release, the strategic partnership will empower public officials and citizens with the latest emerging technologies like AI to enhance e-governance and citizen services. "Advancing ongoing efforts to foster innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Meta today announced a two-year partnership with the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (IT, E&C), Government of Telangana," the release said. BLS e-services integrates UMANG into its e-governance digital platform

BLS E-Services Ltd on Tuesday said it has integrated UMANG into its platform, a move that will help the firm to offer more than 500 e-governance services. The company is a subsidiary of BLS International Service, which provides visa and consular services. The collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) aims to ensure wider accessibility of the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) services for citizens, facilitated through agents or human-assisted platforms, BLS International said in a release. UMANG is a digital platform launched by the Centre that offers a convenient and secure way for citizens to access a range of government services and information. BLS E-Services platform will provide a channel for citizens across India and overseas where they can avail major state and central e-governance services in multiple regional languages, the release said. Public sector Indian Bank signs MoU with Tamil Nadu e-Governance agency

Public sector Indian Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, the city-headquartered bank said on Tuesday. The agreement is to integrate the Indian Bank Payment Aggregator platform with the e-Governance Applications of various departments in Tamil Nadu. "With this MoU, all government departments can avail plug and play platform for any payment related needs. The Indian Bank Payment Aggregator platform services shall offer timely and cost effective solutions to departments besides providing citizens and businesses with a seamless payment experience," Indian Bank said in a statement. Union Secretary Alkesh Kumar Sharma on Wednesday said the G20 presidency will provide India an opportunity to showcase its digital initiatives under e-governance to the outside world. Speaking at the two-day silver jubilee edition of national conference on e-Governance here, Sharma, Secretary for Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), said many countries in the world are looking at India, which has successfully implemented various e-governance initiatives.
