Hospitality major EIH Ltd expects strong demand and occupancy in the third and fourth quarters of this fiscal after witnessing moderation in the April-June period due to elections and heatwave, according to its Managing Director and CEO Vikram Oberoi. The impact of this year's general elections on demand was higher compared to the previous elections, he told analysts. "Really, as a function of supply and demand, we had the election this year and I think at least our analysis shows that when compared to previous elections, which we looked over the previous election, we looked at the impact on this election has been more than in the previous election. We looked at the last election as well," Oberoi said. Besides, he said in many cities in Rajasthan where the company has leisure hotels and in Agra, temperatures have been extremely high this summer. Hospitality major EIH Ltd on Wednesday reported more than two-fold increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 247.6 crore for the March quarter, driven by higher revenue. The company, which owns and operates hotels and resorts under the Oberoi and Trident brands, had posted a consolidated net profit Rs 92.16 crore a year ago, a regulatory filing showed. During the quarter under review, its total income rose 17.6 per cent to Rs 781 crore, against Rs 663.86 crore in the corresponding January-March period of the previous year. For the full financial year 2023-24, EIH Ltd's net profit more than doubled to Rs 677.7 crore, as against Rs 329.1 crore in the previous fiscal. The company's total income during FY24 grew 25.3 per cent to Rs 2,626 crore, from Rs 2,096.4 crore a year ago.

Total income increased to Rs 769.87 crore, registering a growth of 27.6 per cent from Rs 603.22 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, a regulatory filing showed. Hospitality major EIH Ltd on Friday reported an over four-fold rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 94.14 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2023, driven by higher revenue. The company, which owns and operates hotels and resorts under the Oberoi and Trident brands, had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 22.35 crore in the year-ago period, EIH Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations was at Rs 530.57 crore in the quarter under review as against Rs 401.05 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Total expenses in the second quarter were higher at Rs 426.43 crore as compared to Rs 355.9 crore in the last fiscal. EIH Ltd Executive Chairman Arjun Oberoi said the company achieved "exceptional financial results in the second quarter. We've seen a significant growth in both revenue and profitability." Hospitality firm EIH Ltd on Tuesday reported an increase of 61 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 106.03 crore in the June quarter. EIH, the flagship company of the Oberoi Group, had reported a net profit of Rs 65.86 crore in the April-June period a year ago. Its revenue from operations was up 26.32 per cent to Rs 498.10 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 394.29 crore of the corresponding quarter, EIH said in a BSE filing. EIH's total expenses during the quarter were up 13.77 per cent at Rs 380.74 crore, while its total income was Rs 522.60 crore, an increase of 26.74 per cent as compared to the year-ago period. Hospitality firm EIH Limited on Monday said its consolidated profit after tax in the fourth quarter ended March grew multifold to Rs 92 crore over the year-ago quarter. Profit after tax grew to Rs 329 crore in FY23 as against the previous year, the company said in a statement. Its consolidated revenue stood at Rs 2,096 crore in the financial year ended March, up 101 per cent from a year ago, it stated. Vikram Oberoi, Managing Director & CEO, EIH Limited, said, FY23 has been a record year for EIH Limited, reporting the highest ever full-year consolidated revenue, EBITDA and PAT. Hotels managed by EIH Limited achieved an industry-leading RevPAR index of 127 per cent for the FY23, on the back of an ARR index of 120 per cent".

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 41.85 crore in the same quarter a year ago, EIH Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the period under review stood at Rs 586.41 crore as compared to Rs 360.12 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
