Salma Hayek, Owen Wilson to star in 'Bliss'
Hollywood stars Salma Hayek and Owen Wilson are set to to play the lead roles in Amazon's upcoming sci-fi drama "Bliss". According to Deadline, the film follows a recently divorced man, Greg (Wilson) who meets Isabel (Hayek), a woman living on the streets who believes that "the polluted broken world around them is not real and that they are living in a simulation inside of the beautiful, peaceful real world of bliss". Despite initial doubts, Greg soon feels that there may be some truth to Isabel's conspiracy theory. James D Stern will be producing the project, along with Lucas Smith and Marsha Swintion attached as executive producers. The movie, written and directed by Mike Cahill, is currently in production.
Batman, Julia Roberts, Chris Hemsworth part of Hollywood Walk of Fame's 2020 class
Actors Julia Roberts and Chris Hemsworth along with DC superhero Batman will be inducted into the 2020 Walk of Fame. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee released the full list of the honourees from categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance and Recording on its official website. Apart from Roberts and Hemsworth, the Motion Pictures category also includes two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, Ruth E Carter, Laurence Fishburne, Spike Lee, Octavia Spencer and Lina Wertmuller. Spider-Man and Venom crossover likely to happen at some point, says Kevin Feige
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige says there is a possibility of a Spider-Man and Venom crossover in future. During a promotional event of the upcoming "Spider-Man: Far From Home", the producer told CinemaBlend that Sony Pictures will have to decide if they want to bring the two popular characters together. "I think probably it's up to Sony. Sony has both those characters and, has Venom in their world. I don't know what their plans are for another Venom or if they're doing that. But it seems likely at some point," Feige said. Currently actor Tom Holland is essaying the role of teenage Spider-Man aka Peter Parker. Ray Winstone joins 'Black Widow' film
Veteran actor Ray Winstone has joined the Marvel Studios upcoming "Black Widow" stand-alone movie. According to Variety, David Harbour and Florence Pugh are also on board to feature along side Scarlett Johansson. Marvel had no comment on the casting. The film, directed by Cate Shortland, is currently in production in London. Jac Schaeffer has penned the script with Kevin Feige producing. Plot details of the film are being kept under wraps and Winstone's role in the movie is also unknown. Johansson first appeared as Black Widow in 2010's "Iron Man 2". Her last appearance as the member of A-6 was in blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame", which released in April.

Over 400 people performed asanas to mark the International Day of Yoga at the picturesque Hatachana compound here on Thursday, with India's envoy to Israel Pavan Kapoor asking the government to consider making it a part of the annual calendar of events. DU announces guidelines, venues for ECA trials
Delhi University Thursday released guidelines for ECA trials and the venues where these will be held. This year, there are 14 disciplines--creative writing, dance, debate, digital media, fine arts, music, music instrumental (Indian), music instrumental (western), theatre, quiz, divinity, NCC, NSS and yoga--under the extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota. The ECA trials for creative writing (Hindi/English) will be held at Ram Lal Anand College from June 28 to 30. According to the guidelines, the subject line/topics will be announced at the venue and the writing project could be in the form of a poem or prose fiction on the given subject/topic. The possession and use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during the trials, the university said. The trials for Indian classical dance will be held at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College. Director-producer Darya Zhuk's next project is on the feminist protest group, Femen, famous for their topless protests.The film which is a fictional adaptation of the history of the movement by the group is named 'Our Breasts Are Our Weapons: The History of the Femen Movement.'Natalia Blok, who is a writer, artist, and activist, will pen the script. Won't shoot outside Mumbai until given protection: FWICE on cast and crew attack
A day after the cast and crew of ALT Balaji show were allegedly attacked on set, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Thursday said its members will not be shooting outside the city until given protection. The team members of the show "Fixer" claimed they were shooting near Ghodbunder Road when they were beaten up by drunk goons, following which three persons have been arrested. In a video shared by filmmaker-actor Tigmanshu Dhulia, who features in the series, the show's producer Sakett Saawhney and actor Mahie Gill alleged they were beaten up by drunk goons. "Till the time we aren't given security and protection, members of FWICE won't shoot outside Mumbai, especially Thane, Mira Road, Vasai, Naigaon and other surrounding areas," BN Tiwari, President, FWICE, told reporters. The Federal Trade Commission is reportedly investigating YouTube over its handling of videos aimed at children.According to The New York Times, the investigation comes after parents and consumer groups complained that YouTube collected data on young users under 13 years of age and allows harmful, adult content to appear in searches for children's content.The investigation could result in hefty fines against YouTube. A complaint was submitted here Thursday against UK-based rapper Taran Kaur Dhillon aka Hard Kaur for an alleged abusive post against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on a social networking platform, police said. The complaint, in form of a written application, was submitted at the cyber police station in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) by one Sandip Ghuge, who claims to be the president of the BJP Chitrapat (Film) Union, an official said. The complaint alleged Kaur has "insulted and abused" the senior leaders.
