Nikolaj Coster-Waldau joins 'Gone Hollywood'
"Game of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has bagged his first TV project, "Gone Hollywood", since the HBO hit series ended. The actor will play Jack DeVoe in the FX series and will be joined on screen by "GoT" co-star Jonathan Pryce, reported Variety. Lola Kirke, Ben Schnetzer and Judd Hirsch are also attached to star. Set in 1980, "Gone Hollywood" will revolve around a group of talented agents who sever ties with an "old-guard" agency to start their own which launches them into industry dominance changing the face of the business forever. The show will be a mix of real Hollywood history and figures and fictional characters and set-up. Ted Griffin will pen and direct. Griffin is also attached to executive produce, along with Scott Rudin, Eli Bush, Garrett Basch, Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman. If the pilot is picked up, it will also feature Nelson Franklin, Eric Lange, Sarah Ramos, Peta Sergeant and Jeremy Shamos in recurring roles.

Rosamund Pike is set to headline live-action fantasy series adaptation of "Wheel of Time" from Amazon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pike will also serve as producer alongside Ted Field, Mike Weber, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe. The long-in-the-works show is based on Robert Jordan's bestselling novels, which are set in a world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to wield it. Disnet reveals 'Kingsman' prequel title
The prequel of action spy comedy franchise "Kingsman" is titled "The King's Man", Disney has announced. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fox film is slated to be released on February 14, 2020. Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode and Harris Dickson are the new entrants to the cast of the film, to be helmed by returning director Matthew Vaughn. The studio made the announcement on Wednesday at its CineEurope presentation in Barcelona. The plot synopsis, provided by Disney, reads: "As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in 'The King's Man'..." The first two films in the series -- "Kingsman: The Secret Service" (2014) and "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" (2017) -- featured Taron Egerton and Colin Firth.
Josh Brolin, Miles Teller to star in Sean Penn's 'Flag Day'
Josh Brolin and Miles Teller have joined the cast of Sean Penn's next directorial venture "Flag Day". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will also see Penn star along with his children -- daughter Dylan and son Hopper. The film is based on Jennifer Vogel's 2005 memoir, titled "Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father's Counterfeit Life". The book follows a woman who has to come to terms with her perceptions of her criminal father, who is a bank robber and career counterfeiter that evaded arrest for six months. Tony-winning playwright Jez Butterworth is writing the screenplay. Norbert Leo Butz, Dale Dickey, Eddie Marsan, Bailey Noble and Katheryn Winnick are also part of the cast. Wonderful Films, Rahway Road, New Element Films and Clyde Is Hungry Films are backing the project, with William Horberg, Jon Kilik and Fernando Sulichin attached to produce.
Shania Twain announces Las Vegas residency
Shania Twain is heading to Las Vegas again for a residency. The singer will also serve as the creative director of the 'Shania Twain Let's Go! The Vegas Residency', reported Billboard. It will encompass material from her three-decade-long career "with inspiration from her iconic videos and elements from her 2018 sold out global NOW tour". The 23-show run will kick off at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on December 6 with six shows. Eight gigs are schedule for March 2020, six in May and three in June. This is Twain's second stint in Vegas. She debuted with 'Shania: Still the One', which ended in 2014.

Camila Cabello says she often goes off the social media grid to concentrate on her well being. The 22-year-old singer said such breaks help her stay true to what matters in life. "I go through phases in my life -- there are times where I feel like protecting myself and focusing on myself and being present in whatever is happening around me is more important," Cabello told The Hollywood Reporter. The "Havana" hitmaker revealed she decided to stay away from the digital world as she was working on her latest album. The LP is a follow-up to last year's debut "Camilla". The Amityville horror is returning to the big screen. According to Variety, Wonderfilm Media Corporation has greenlit "Amityville 1974", which is set to begin principal photography in November. Based on the real-life tragedy involving Ronald DeFeo Jr and his six family members whom he shot in 1974, Casey La Scala will direct the film. La Scala has also penned the script. "Get Out" fame Jeff Bowler and Shaun Redick will produce for Wonderfilm alongside Todd Garner who will also produce. Bret Saxon and Yvette Yates are attached to executive produce.
