Fraudsters arrested in Thailand duped people as George Clooney
An Italian man who duped people by imitating Hollywood actor George Clooney to sell clothes online was caught by police in Thailand.Francesco Galdelli and with his wife Vanja Goffi, who were on Interpol red notice since 2013, were arrested in Thailand at a house on the outskirts of Pattaya on Saturday, reported Euronews.The place where the couple was found playing tricks on people is known to be a hideout for gangsters and criminals from all across the world."During interrogation, Francesco confessed to claiming to be George Clooney and opening a clothing business to trick people into sending money," Thailand's Crime Suppression Division (CSD) said in a statement.The pair is also wanted in Italy for several scams and crime, according to the statement. The list of scams also included selling fake Rolex watches online.The case against the couple stretched many years back, with Clooney testifying against them in 2010 in Milan, saying that they had fraudulently used the name of the actor .
Sunny Deol postpones release date of son's 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas'
It is going to be a long wait for movie buffs before they see Karan Deol in 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' as the film's release date has been shifted to September 20 by his father Sunny Deol.The upcoming romantic film marks Karan's Bollywood debut and also stars Sahher Bambba. Arjun Kapoor on Tuesday opened up about his struggles with obesity, calling it a "tough journey" that he navigated right from childhood. "It's been a tough journey for me ever since I was a kid when it comes to my battle with obesity. Everyone has their own struggles I have had and continue to have mine. Dee Rees to direct musical fantasy 'The Kyd's Exquisite Follies'
Filmmaker Dee Rees is set to direct independent movie musical fantasy "The Kyd's Exquisite Follies". The 42-year-old director, who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for her film "Mudbound", will also be writing the script for her new film. The project will be produced by Cassian Elwes, reported Variety. Singer-songwriter Santigold is creating the music for the film, with Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic working on the film's visual effects. Actor Saif Ali Khan and Tabu-starrer coming-of-age comedy "Jawaani Jaaneman" went on floors in London on Tuesday. The film marks the debut of Pooja Bedi's daughter, Alaia F and is touted as a fun, comic take on how a man confronts the harsh reality of his life. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday started filming for his next "Gulabo Sitabo" here. The 76-year-old actor, who recently finished shooting for "Chehre", took to Twitter to share the news.
