Comcast users can now change channels with eye movements

Changing channels on your Comcast X1 will be truly hands-free as the company is adding eye control to its cable platform.As The Verge notes, the feature can be used to change channels, pull up the X1 programming guide, set DVR recordings, navigate through other menus, even type out X1 voice commands using only eyes movements, thus allowing even users with disabilities to experience watching TV with ease.Comcast is supporting all popular eye gaze hardware and software on the market to make the feature accessible. To use eye control, customers will have to sign into Comcast's web-based remote control and link it to their cable account.

Woman who accused actor Karan Oberoi of rape arrested

Woman, who had accused actor Karan Oberoi of raping and extorting money from her, was arrested by police and presented before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Andheri on Monday.The woman had allegedly orchestrated an attack on herself and was trying to frame the actor. The police first arrested her lawyer and based on his statement arrested her.The woman alleged that Oberoi had raped her on the pretext of marrying her. An FIR was registered against the actor under Sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).The FIR also stated that Oberoi not only raped the woman and filmed the act but also demanded money from the victim and threatened to release the video if she did not pay the requisite sum.Oberoi was arrested on May 6 by Mumbai Police and was sent to 14 days of judicial custody by an Andheri court. Court reject's prosecution plea to try Salman Khan for filing 'false' affidavits

In a major relief to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, a Jodhpur court Monday refused to prosecute him for allegedly filing two false affidavits in the court. Jodhpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Ankit Raman gave the relief to the actor, dismissing a prosecution plea to try him for allegedly filing the two false affidavits in the court in 2006. Facing charges under the Arms Act as an offshoot to the October 1998 case of the blackbuck poaching near Kankani village in Jodhpur district, Khan had filed an affidavit claiming he had a valid licence of the weapon allegedly used in the poaching. He, however, had added that he lost the licence somewhere. The prosecution, however, had refuted his claim and sought his prosecution for filing a false affidavit. Though convicted in the blackbuck poaching case, the actor was acquitted by the magisterial court in the Arms Act case against him. Woman who accused actor of rape held for staged attack on self

A 34-year-old woman, who had accused TV actor Karan Oberoi of rape and extortion, was Monday arrested for allegedly staging an attack on herself last month. The woman had lodged a police complaint that she was attacked on May 25 by two motorcycle-borne men while out on a morning walk. Police had earlier nabbed her lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan in connection with what it claimed was an orchestrated attack. The woman had filed a case against Oberoi for raping her under the pretext of marriage and blackmailing her for money with her video clips, following which the actor was arrested by Oshiwara police early June. The actor was granted bail by The Bombay High Court last Friday. While granting relief to Oberoi, the judge noted that the woman, on May 25, "orchestrated" a fake attack on herself and tried to make it look like she was targeted because of her complaint against the actor. Director Mike Flanagan says "Doctor Sleep" will serve as the sequel to the screen adaptation of Stephen King's book and Stanley Kubrick's 1980 movie "The Shining". Published in 2013, "Doctor Sleep" is the sequel to King's "The Shining", which was adapted Kubrick for a film starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
