Janet Jackson may have maintained silence on the controversial "Leaving Neverland" documentary, which focuses on sex abuse allegations against Michael Jackson, but the singer believes her brother's legacy will continue through his music. In the HBO documentary, Wade Robson and James Safechuck alleged that Jackson groomed and molested them during their childhood. In an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, Janet did not comment on the allegations but said, "It (legacy) will continue. I love it when I see kids emulating him, when adults still listen to his music. It just lets you know the impact that my family has had on the world." 'TV producer' held for cheating aspiring TV/movie artistes

A woman masquerading as a television producer has been arrested for allegedly cheating people of huge sums of money with the promise of making them TV and movie artistes, police said. Y Sreelatha, claiming to the producer of a leading Telugu television network, created a fake Facebook account in July 2018 and promised TV and movie aspirants roles in serials and films after collecting money from them, they said. Acting on a complaint from two men from the city, who had paid her Rs 50,000 and Rs six lakh respectively, police conducted a probe and nabbed her from Bengaluru Friday. She was brought here on Sunday, police said.

Tom Petty, Tupac Shakur 's Soundgarden sue Universal Music

American rapper Tupac Shakur and singer Tom Petty's Soundgarden are listed among many who have sued Universal Music Group for materials lost during the 2008 fire which broke out at Universal Studios.According to Fox News, in the suit filed this week in Los Angeles' federal district court, the artistes claimed that the Universal failed to protect the music records which were ruined in the fire. Also, they were not informed about the magnitude of damage that was done, revealed The New York Times.Besides Petty and Shakur's and few other small records, the fire also destroyed music by Ella Fitzgerald and Chuck Berry. The plaintiffs, who comprise of Steve Earle and the band Hole, are expecting compensatory damages in excess of $100 million.Universal has not made any comments on the matter till now.

Man arrested from sets of Daniel Craig-starrer 'Bond 25'

A man has been arrested from Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, where upcoming movie 'Bond 25' is being filmed, after a hidden camera was found in the women's toilet.The 49-year-old year man was subsequently charged with voyeurism, a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told CNN. Man rapes woman by blackmailing her with video clip; held

A 34-year-old man was arrested Sunday for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman in Chhattisgarh over a year by blackmailing her with a video clip, police said. The accused Ravi Kannauje, a native of Puraina village in Chhuikhadan area, is a distant relative of the victim, a nursing student, said Ambagarh Chowki police station officer Narendra Pujari. The officer said Kannauje, who is married, had visited the woman at her house last year, where he secretly filmed her while bathing. He then started blackmailing the woman with the video recording and raped her several times in the last one year, Pujari said, adding that the accused also shot obscene videos of the victim. Recently when the woman resisted his bid, the accused allegedly circulated her videos on social media following which she lodged an FIR on Friday, the SHO said. Kannauje is booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 376 (Punishment for rape), he said.

Disney's 'Hercules' to get stage musical adaptation

"Hercules" will soon make it to the stage in form a musical created by New York City's Public Theater in a special arrangement with Disney Theatrical Productions. In the title role, the musical will feature actor Jelani Alladin, who voiced the character in Disney's 1997 animated classic.
