Filmmaker James Wan has revealed that "The Trench", spin-off to his 2018 blockbuster "Aquaman", will be more of a monster horror film than a superhero movie. According to Variety, the novel, which will be published by Penguin Random House this October, will also be adapted by Parker. The original, which released in 1996, follows a group of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who anger them.
