Keaton was firmly against Pfeiffer's casting in 'Batman': Robert Wuhl

Actor Robert Wuhl has revealed that Michael Keaton was "firmly against" the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer as Vick Vale in 1989's "Batman". Wuhl, who essayed the role Alexander Knox in the film, said the reason behind Keaton's decision was his past relationship with Pfeiffer. "To put a little fly in the ointment, Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer had previously dated and broken up. At the time, Michael told me he was trying to get back with his ex-wife. Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is looking to get the sex trafficking charges removed out of a lawsuit filed by actor Wedil David.David, in her lawsuit, claims Weinstein of raping her back in 2015.According to Page Six, the producer's attorneys have filed papers in Manhattan federal court requesting the judge to reject the claims made by David.The lawsuit filed by David in 2017 claims that Weinstein promised her a role in the TV series 'Marco Polo.' He called the actor to a Beverly Hills hotel room and raped her. The culprit who stole an iconic Marilyn Monroe statue from Hollywood Boulevard, has been arrested.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles police on Friday arrested a man who they believe stole the statue.The theft had occurred on Tuesday when a man used a hacksaw to remove the Monroe figure from the Four Ladies of Hollywood gazebo in Hollywood Boulevard and North La Brea Avenue.The criminal suspect has been identified as Austin Mikel Clay.This is not the first time that the suspect has landed himself in trouble for a high-profile case like this.The 25-year-old was arrested and pleaded no contest last year after he took a pickaxe and demolished the Hollywood Walk of Fame star of Donald Trump. Cyprus has renewed efforts to establish itself as a filming destination, branding the initiative as 'Olivewood'.The decision was taken after seeing the impact of filming on other countries, according to Forbes.To further this vision, the Cypriot government has made the decision to offer generous incentives to film producers to attract them to the country.Various economic incentives like cash rebates of up to 25 to 35 per cent is being offered on eligible expenditures which will take place in Cyprus, according to Forbes contributor Antonis Antoniou. Tax credit equivalent to 35 per cent of spending made in the country is also being offered by the Cypriot government."The incentives are quite generous and they are not offered just for movies but also for television series or mini-series, documentaries for theatrical or television release, animations, television research and natural history programs. Netflix is testing a new pop-out player that will make sure you continue binge-watching while pretending to be working.The new player allows you to watch your favourite series in a smaller floating box that is resizable and hovers above other windows and applications, Engadget reports.To use the pop-out player, click on the small icon along the bottom of the screen. YouTube is reportedly testing a new feature that keeps the misleading and nasty comments away from immediate viewing.As XDA Developers reports, YouTube appears to be working on a new layout of the Android app which shows a dedicated button for Comments between the Dislike and Share button.The button leads to the comments section in an overflow window. IIMC entrance written exam results declared

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Saturday declared the results of the written examinations held for various post-graduate diploma courses to be offered in academic session 2019-20, officials said. A total of 1,365 candidates out of 5,839 applicants have been declared successful in the written test, the IIMC said. There are a total of 476 seats on offer across eight post-graduate diploma course at campuses in New Delhi, Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Jammu, Amravati and Kottayam, for which the admission is granted through a national-level entrance examination comprising a written test, a group discussion and an interview, officials said. "Group-discussion and interviews will be held between July 1-5 in New Delhi for PG diploma courses in English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Urdu Journalism, Radio & TV Journalism and Advertising & Public Relations," the IIMC said in a statement.
