The G-20 summit is about "getting India ready for he world and the world ready for India," External Affairs Minister and BJP leader S Jaishankar said on Friday claiming the international event will spur tourism growth of the country. Jaishankar made the remark while addressing students at a Delhi University's Aryabhatta College as part of a BJP outreach campaign underway to highlight the nine years' achievement of the Narendra Modi government. He said benefits of hosting the summit will accrue to the country in the next 5-10 years. G20 discusses ways to strength global financial safety at Goa meet

A key G20 working group on finance on Tuesday deliberated on strengthening international financial safety and managing global debt vulnerabilities with participants at a meeting here also emphasizing on making collaborative efforts for building a more stable and resilient global economy. The third International Financial Architecture Working Group (IFAWG) meeting set to begin in Goa on Wednesday will aim to give a voice to low income and developing countries that are not part of G20 and highlight key concerns of the Global South, a senior official said. Addressing a press conference here, Anu Mathai, Advisor to Department of Economic affairs said the two-day meeting will be steered by the Union Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank of India and will co-chaired by France and South Korea. Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday said states and Union Territories need to have formal policies for promotion of film tourism. Reddy was addressing a side event on "Promoting Incredible India through Film Tourism" during the third G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting here.
