Hosting G20 was a historic moment for India and the frameworks drafted during India's Presidency will help the world to address its challenges over the next decade, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia said. Delhi approves BS VI-compliant diesel vehicles for inter-state carriage

The Delhi government will allow the registration of all BS VI-compliant diesel vehicles for inter-state stage carriage in the national capital. In an order on July 24, the Supreme Court had modified its previous order to pave way for the registration of all BS VI-compliant diesel vehicles in Delhi, irrespective of their requirement for the G20 summit. Citing the judgement of the apex court, an order issued by the Delhi Transport Department said, "... the competent authority is pleased to allow the registration of all BS VI compliant Diesel vehicles in GNCT of Delhi for Inter-State Stage Carriage, All India Tourist Permit (AITP) holders having capacity of more than 7+1 persons, coaches, buses." Officials of different government science bodies and departments on Wednesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showcasing the country's progress in the field of science and technology at the G20 Summit. The G20 New Delhi Leaders' Declaration, issued after the summit, was also "highly technology driven", Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said. PM to host dinner for 450 Delhi Police personnel deployed during G20 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited around 450 personnel of the Delhi Police for a dinner on Saturday as a thanksgiving gesture for their contribution in providing impeccable security during the G20 Leaders' Summit, officials said. They said all zonal in-charges including of the Bharat Mandapam area -- the venue for the G20 Summit -- have been requested to send the names of five-six personnel each from their teams. The names of personnel who performed their duties despite personal hardships and family issues may be specially included, they added. A total of around 450 personnel, from constable to inspector ranks, are likely to have a dinner with the prime minister, the officials added. President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday said the Global Biofuel Alliance launched during the recently concluded G20 summit is an important step taken under India's leadership after the International Solar Alliance, noting that new and renewable sources will help in making the country self-reliant in the energy sector. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday passed a resolution congratulating and thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the entire country for making the G20 Summit a huge success, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said.
