Bring back Modi govt to sustain pace of development: Gambhir tells voters

East Delhi BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on Monday urged first-time voters in Surajmal Vihar here to bring back the Narendra Modi government at the Centre once again to sustain the pace of development in the country. He said that the picture of the country will change for the better if the country's youth showed enthusiasm in politics. Addressing a gathering of new voters, Gambhir said the Modi government at the Centre has worked towards improving the daily life of the youth and has worked to enhance their future. The BJP MP said that young voters should use their vote to guide the country in the right direction. Their vote was crucial at it will decide their present and future, he said. The Lok Sabha polls are scheduled to be held next year. The cricketer-turned-politician also gave autographed certificates to around 250 participants of the youth conference organised by the BJP's Yuva Morcha.

'What's happening in India', PM Modi asks Nadda after returning from visit

After returning to India from his foreign visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked BJP president J P Nadda and other leaders what was happening in India, party leaders, who had gone to receive him at the airport here, said. BJP MLA from east Delhi's Gandhinagar, Anil Bajpai, has once again targeted party MP Gautam Gambhir, seeking a CBI probe into the allotment of MCD 'dhalaos' (dump yards) to private individuals and organisations. In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday, Bajpai, without naming anyone, claimed that spaces allotted for dhalaos in the area have been converted into 'jan rasois' (community kitchens) and a library and their ownership given to private organisations. "In some assembly constituencies in east Delhi, the space allotted for a dhalao has been converted into kitchen and library and the ownership has been given to private organisations, he claimed.
