CCI gives nod to PE firm General Atlantic to acquire Actis Holdings

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday cleared US-based private equity firm General Atlantic's proposal to acquire a 100 per cent stake in Actis Holdings. Actis Holdings S. r.l is a sustainable infrastructure investor, investing globally in, energy infrastructure, digital infrastructure, real estate and private equity. "CCI approves the proposed acquisition of 100% shareholding of Actis Holdings S. r.l. by GAP Arthur Holdco, LP," the fair trade regulator said in a post on X. GAP Arthur Holdco LP is an affiliate of General Atlantic. In January this year, General Atlantic (GA) and Actis announced that the firms have entered into a definitive agreement under which GA will acquire Actis, creating a diversified, global investment platform with USD 96 billion in combined assets under management (AUM). As Beryl expected to regain hurricane strength, Texas braces for impact

Texas officials Saturday were urging coastal residents to brace for a potential hit by Beryl as the storm is expected to regain hurricane strength in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. General Atlantic, Asia Opportunities sell 4.9% stake in PNB Housing Fin

Foreign investors General Atlantic and Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) on Thursday sold a 4.9 per cent stake in PNB Housing Finance for Rs 1,004 crore through open market transactions. US-based private equity firm General Atlantic through its affiliate General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte offloaded PNB Housing Finance shares through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). More than 1.27 crore shares or a 4.9 per cent stake in PNB Housing Fin were disposed of by both entities. As per the data available, General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII and Asia Opportunities sold 63.79 lakh shares each, amounting to a 4.9 per cent stake in the public sector housing finance company. The shares were offloaded in the range of Rs 786.46-787.88 apiece, taking the combined transaction value to Rs 1,004.28 crore. Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) and General Atlantic divested a 4.46 per cent stake in housing finance firm PNB Housing Finance for Rs 843 crore through open market transactions. US-based private equity firm General Atlantic through its affiliate General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte Ltd offloaded its stake in PNB Housing Finance on the BSE. As per the bulk deal data available with the BSE, Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) and private equity firm General Atlantic Singapore Fund FII Pte sold 58 lakh shares each, amounting to a combined 4.46 per cent stake in PNB Housing Finance. The shares were disposed of in a price range of Rs 727.26-727.47 apiece, taking the combined deal size to Rs 843.79 crore. General Atlantic pares 10% stake in KFin Technologies for Rs 851 cr

Private equity firm General Atlantic on Friday divested a 10 per cent stake in KFin Technologies for Rs 851 crore through an open market transaction. General Atlantic through its affiliate General Atlantic Singapore Fund Pte sold the shares of the company. The US-based private equity firm is the promoter of KFin Technologies. According to the bulk deal data available with the BSE, General Atlantic Singapore Fund Pte offloaded 1,70,00,000 shares, amounting to a 9.98 per cent stake in KFin Technologies. The shares were disposed of at an average price of Rs 500.50 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 850.85 crore. After the transaction, General Atlantic's shareholding has declined to 39.14 per cent from 49.12 per cent equity stake in KFin Technologies. CCI clears General Atlantic's additional 4.04% stake buy in Acko Tech

Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Wednesday cleared General Atlantic Singapore ACK's proposed acquisition of an additional 4.04 per cent stake in Acko Technology and Services. General Atlantic Singapore ACK Pte (GASACK) is an investment holding company held by funds or vehicles controlled by US-based private equity firm General Atlantic. The proposed combination envisages the acquisition of an additional 4.04 per cent shareholding of Acko Technology and Services Private Limited (Acko Tech) by General Atlantic Singapore ACK Pte. Ltd, according to an official release. General Atlantic Singapore sells 1.21 mn KIMS shares worth Rs 151 cr

General Atlantic Singapore on Monday offloaded 12.10 lakh shares of hospital chain Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) for over Rs 151 cr through an open market transaction. According to bulk deal data available with BSE, General Atlantic Singapore Kh Pte sold 12,10,000 shares, amounting to 1.5 per cent stake in the company. The shares were disposed of at an average price of Rs 1,250 apiece, taking the transaction size to Rs 151.25 crore. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd picked up the shares at the same price. As on June quarter, General Atlantic owned 17.24 per cent stake in the company, shareholding pattern with the exchange showed. In early September, General Atlantic Singapore had disposed of 16.60 lakh shares of the company. KIMS shares closed 0.51 per cent lower at Rs 1,218.60 on BSE.
