Delhi metro services on Yellow Line to be affected from Nov 14-19

Metro services on the Yellow Line will be temporarily regulated from the night of November 14 to November 19 due to civil work on a 490-metre section of the Janakpuri West to R K Ashram. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the disruption is due to planned construction work on a 490-metre section between Janakpuri West and R K Ashram where the alignment crosses over Haiderpur Badli Mor. Train services on this stretch will be briefly affected from the night of November 14-15 to the night of November 19-20, it said. As a result, there will be no train service between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri after 10.45 pm until the start of revenue services at 7.02 am. Three stations Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector 18-19 and Haiderpur Badli Mor will remain closed until service resumes upto 7.02 am, it stated. IL&FS to operate Gurgaon Metro till Sep 17, HUDA to bear cost: HC

The Gurgaon Metro will be operated and maintained by IL&FS till September 17 midnight as a licensee while its operational cost will be borne by the Haryana Urban Development Authority, the Punjab and Haryana High Court ruled on Monday. The court also set September 17 as the next date of hearing of petition by HUDA seeking termination of service contract between it and the Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) and Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon South Limited (RMGSL), the two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) floated by IL&FS. The Gurgaon Metro is the country's first privately-developed project which was built by the Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS). The Punjab and Haryana High Court will on Monday make a decision on the operational continuity of the Gurgaon Metro, the country's first fully privately built rapid rail system here. This follows the expiry of 90 day termination notice served by Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) and Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon South Limited (RMGSL), the two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) floated by IL&FS for the rail project,to Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) on June 7.
