The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at multiple locations of real estate company Ramprastha Group in Gurugram on Wednesday as part of a money laundering investigation linked to alleged cheating with home buyers, official sources said. The ED case stems from a clutch of FIRs filed by the local police against the company by "disgruntled homebuyers for non-fulfilment of the promise of handing over the (housing) projects to them", the sources said. The projects include Ramprastha Rise, Ramprastha City and Ramprastha SKYZ located in Gurugram, Haryana. There was no response to phone calls made by PTI to the company. Realty firm Godrej Properties has won bid for two residential plots in Gurugram costing Rs 515 crore and will develop luxury homes worth Rs 3,400 crore on these land parcels. In a regulatory filing on Monday, Godrej Properties informed that it has "emerged as the highest bidder and has secured the Letter of Intent to develop two group housing plots at premium locations in Gurugram through an e-auction conducted by the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP)". The combined bid value for both plots is Rs 515 crore, it added. The plot measuring 3.6 acres is located in the prestigious Golf Course Road micro-market whereas the plot measuring 1.97 acres is strategically located in Sector 39 with proximity to NH 48. The Delhi Metro on August 13 registered the highest-ever count of daily passenger journeys at 72.38 lakh, officials said. The urban transporter shared the data in a post on X on Wednesday, saying it has surpassed its previous milestone accomplished in February this year. A total of 72,38,271 passengers travelled on August 13. The count of daily passenger journeys in the Delhi Metro had stood at 71.09 lakh on February 13, 71.07 lakh on August 12, 71.04 lakh on September 4, 2023, and 70.88 lakh on February 12, the data showed. Journey or line utilisation is calculated by the number of corridors passengers use to reach their destinations. Realty firm Alphacorp will invest Rs 350 crore to develop a luxury housing project in Gurugram as part of its expansion plan amid strong consumer demand. Without divulging the name of the partner, Alphacorp said it has tied up with an entity that owns two land parcels of nearly 2.4 acre each, located in Sector 15, Part 2, Gurugram. "We will develop a total of 200 apartments on these two land parcels," said Santosh Agarwal, Executive Director and CFO of Alphacorp. On one parcel of 2.38 acre, the company has launched luxury high-rise project 'Alphacorp SKY1' comprising 100 units. The price is Rs 5 crore per unit. The company's sales bookings stood at Rs 820 crore in the year-ago period. According to a regulatory filing, Signature Global sold 968 units in the first quarter of this fiscal against 894 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company, a fully FDI-funded real estate developer and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Experion Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore, has acquired the land parcel in Sector 88A, Gurugram. "The 7.81-acre plot was acquired through an outright purchase for approximately Rs 400 crore," Experion Developers said in a statement.
