Godrej Properties sells 1,050 luxury homes for over Rs 3K cr in Gurugram

Realty firm Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) on Monday said it has sold over 1,050 homes worth over Rs 3,000 crore within three days of launch of its new project at Gurugram, in Haryana. This reflects strong sales momentum in the residential segment. Gurugram has seen a number of successful launches of housing projects in the last 18 months, where apartments got sold within a matter of few days. The project 'Godrej Zenith' is located in Sector 89, Gurugram. "This is Godrej Properties' most successful ever launch in terms of the value and volume of sales achieved," the company said in a regulatory filing. This project is GPL's largest residential development in Gurugram. "The company has recorded a 473 per cent YoY (year-on-year) increase in sales in Gurugram in FY24 and has a strong launch pipeline for FY25 which includes new project launches planned in Sector 103, Sector 43, and Sector 54," GPL said. Housing sales in Gurugram down 12% during Jan-Mar; up 19% in Noida: Report

Housing sales in Gurugram fell 12 per cent year-on-year in January-March, while the demand for residential properties increased in Noida by 19 per cent, according to Anarock. Real estate consultant Anarock's data showed that housing sales in Gurugram's primary market (first sale) declined 12 per cent to 8,550 units in the January-March period this year from 9,750 units in the year-ago period. In contrast, Noida saw a 19 per cent increase in housing sales to 1,600 units during January-March this year from 1,350 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. Commenting on the trend, Anarock Vice Chairman Santhosh Kumar said, "The demand continues to be strong in Gurugram. Still, sales dipped in the IT city due to a fall in new supply. Many builders did not get approvals to launch projects". There would be more launches of housing projects in Gurugram after the Lok Sabha election, he added. Youtuber Elvish Yadav gets bail from Gurugram court in assault case

A Gurugram court on Saturday granted bail to Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav in a case of assault against YouTuber Sagar Thakur alias Maxtern, said police. "The court heard the bail application and granted bail in the case. He will have to furnish a bail bond which would be submitted in the court," said his counsel, Advocate Himanshu Yadav. The Gurugram Police had on Wednesday filed an application seeking a production warrant for Elvish Yadav, who was then lodged in Noida jail. Judicial Magistrate First Class Harsh Kumar had ordered Elvish to appear in court on March 27, but the Noida Police reached the Gurugram court along with Elvish on Saturday. YouTuber Elvish Yadav gets bail in drugs case, to be taken to Gurugram jail

A Gautam Buddh Nagar court granted bail to controversial YouTuber Siddharth Yadav alias Elvish Yadav in a drugs case on Friday, six days after he was lodged in a jail here, his lawyers said. The jail authorities said they have received Yadav's release order but he would be handed over on Saturday to the custody of a court in Haryana's Gurugram, where he is to be produced in an assault case involving content creator Sagar Thakur alias Maxtern. The hearing in the Gurguram court is scheduled for March 27. Yadav was arrested on March 17 by the Noida Police in connection with its probe into suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug in parties he hosted. Gurugram Police issues traffic advisory for PM Modi's visit on March 11

In view of the inauguration of Dwarka Expressway by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 11, Gurugram Traffic Police has issued an advisory prohibiting heavy vehicles to ply on the road. A senior traffic police officer said the prime minister will also hold a rally on the same day near the Antariksh Chowk here, due to which traffic congestion is expected in the area. Therefore, it is advised that people going from Dwarka Clover Leaf towards IMT till 4 pm on March 11 use the Antariksh Chowk route only if it is absolutely necessary, he added. "Antriksh Chowk Road will be closed for some time due to crowd in the rally. On the other hand, movement of heavy vehicles on Dwarka Expressway will be prohibited from 5 pm on Sunday, hence all heavy vehicle drivers should use KMP during this period," read the advisory issued on Saturday.

Six months on, police add UAPA charges in cases connected to Nuh violence

Police have slapped charges under the stringent UAPA against the accused in three cases connected to the murder of two home guards and a Bajrang Dal member and an attack on a cyber police station six months ago. While the charges were not included in the initial FIRs related to the cases, court documents showed these were added to the challan presented in a court to oppose the bail petition filed by the accused. Airbus forms JV with Air India to launch pilot training centre in Gurugram

Airbus has partnered with Tata group-owned Air India for setting up a pilots training facility in Gurugram, Haryana, under a 50:50 joint venture, the company said on Thursday. Besides, the European aviation major also announced a collaboration with GMR Aero Technic to offer aircraft maintenance engineering training courses at the latter's facility in Hyderabad. Spread over 3,300 sq mt, the Tata Airbus training centre will be equipped with 10 full flight simulators (FFS), flight training classrooms and briefing and debriefing rooms as part of the complete Airbus Flight Training Device setup, Airbus said. Housing sales in Gurugram up 13% in 2023; down 7-8% in Noida: Anarock

Housing sales in Gurugram rose by 13 per cent annually in 2023 on high demand, especially for luxury flats, but Noida and Greater Noida saw a 7-8 per cent fall, according to Anarock data on the Delhi NCR market. Real estate consultant Anarock's data showed that sales of residential properties in Gurugram went up 13 per cent to 36,970 in 2023 from 32,615 units in the previous year. However, sales in Noida fell 8 per cent to 5,840 units from 6,360 units. Greater Noida saw a 7 per cent drop in sales to 10,180 units from 10,985 units. Ghaziabad, too, witnessed a fall of 8 per cent to 6,340 units from 6,890 units. The total housing sales in Faridabad, Delhi and Bhiwadi decreased to 6,295 units during 2023 from 6,860 units in the previous year. Godrej Properties Ltd on Tuesday said it has sold more than 600 flats in its new luxury housing project at Gurugram, Haryana. 2 fresh Covid-19 cases detected in Gurugram, active cases rise to four

The number of active Covid cases in Gurugram district reached four after two more instances of the infection was detected, the health department said on Saturday. District Surveillance Officer Dr Jai Prakash Rajliwal said a 36-year-old man who had returned from Indonesia got tested for Covid due to sore throat, cold and cough and was found infected. Apart from this, a 32-year-old woman was also found Covid infected but the health department did not find any travel history of the woman, he added. On the other hand, the health department collected samples from 102 people on Saturday and sent those for testing, officials said. An official of the health department said that between December 18 and 23, the Health Department collected samples of more than 200 people for testing. Of them, three women and one man were found infected. As the patients have mild symptoms of Covid, all have been kept in home isolation, the official said.
