Retail major Walmart sources bicycles from India, partners Hero Ecotech

Global retail major Walmart has started sourcing bicycles from India by entering into a strategic partnership with Hero Ecotech. The first India-made bicycles are hitting select stores in the US market just in time for the holidays, Walmart said in a statement. This is part of Walmart's commitment to triple exports out of India to USD 10 billion annually by 2027, it added. Hero Ecotech has designed a cruiser-style bike for Walmart carrying the Concord brand available in both adult-sized men's and women's versions adding to the company's growing bicycle offerings. The cruisers sold in Walmart US stores are built with more than 90 per cent of raw materials sourced from India. Hero Realty sells 77 plots in Gurugram project for Rs 180 cr in single day

Hero Realty has sold all 77 plots for about Rs 180 crore in its newly launched project in Gurugram. All the plots were sold on June 29, the first day of the launch itself. The selling price starts from Rs 1.99 crore and onwards. Hero Realty has launched a plotted development project 'The Ark' in Sector 85, Gurugram, spread over 5 acres, a company statement said. Dharmesh Shah, CEO of Hero Realty Pvt Ltd, said, "We are delighted with foraying into the plotted development in the Delhi-NCR market and are committed to meeting the evolving needs of our customers. Hero MotoCorp launches Xtreme 160R 4V premium bike at Rs 1.27 lakh onwards

Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday launched its new Xtreme 160R 4V premium motorcycle with prices starting at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Xtreme 160R 4V is powered by a 163cc BS-VI phase II and E20 compliant engine that generates a maximum power output of 16.9 Ps, the company said in a statement. It comes in three variants of Standard, Connected 2.0, and Pro priced at Rs 1,27,300, Rs 1,32,800 and Rs 1,36,500, respectively (all prices ex-showroom Delhi), the company added. Hero MotoCorp sales increases by 10% in February at 3,94,460 units

The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported a 10 per cent year-on-year increase in total wholesales at 3,94,460 units in February. The company had dispatched 3,58,254 units in the same month last year. In the domestic market, its sales rose to 3,82,317 units last month from 3,31,462 units in the same month last year. Exports, however, dipped to 12,143 units from 26,792 units in the year-ago period. "The volumes in the month of February indicate the continuously improving consumer sentiment and the company expects the positive trend to continue in the coming months, on the back of favourable economic indicators," Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Hero Realty buys land in Gurugram for Rs 90 cr for plotted development

Hero Realty Pvt Ltd has purchased a 5- acre land in Gurugram for Rs 90 crore to develop a plotted residential project. The deal was facilitated by property consultant Cushman & Wakefield. The name of the seller has not been disclosed. Hero Realty, promoted by Sunil Kant Munjal's Hero Enterprise, has bought the land in Sector 85, Gurugram, the consultant said in a statement. Dharmesh Shah, CEO, Hero Realty, said, The acquisition marks the entry of Hero Realty into the plotted spaces in Delhi-NCR region." The project will further strengthen its continued sales growth in this fiscal and set the foundation for a significant increase in market share, Shah said. "This land parcel is over 5 acres at a value of Rs 900 million(Rs 90 crore)," the statement said. Hero Realty has successfully delivered projects in Ludhiana, Mohali and Haridwar. Hero Electric partners with Dhoot Transmission for wiring harness solutions

Electric two-wheeler maker Hero Electric on Wednesday said it has partnered with Dhoot Transmission Pvt Ltd for new wiring harness solutions. The company's products will be equipped with the latest wiring harnesses of Dhoot Transmission under the partnership, it said in a statement. "Our partnership with Dhoot Transmission to procure wiring harnesses for our products is a step towards ensuring vehicle efficiency and customer safety by equipping our products with durable and robust components," Hero Electric CEO Sohinder Gill said. India's Hero MotoSports Team Rally began its seventh consecutive Dakar Rally at the Sea Camp near Jeddah on Saturday. The team features a stellar squad of four Rally GP class riders - Franco Caimi, Joaquim Rodrigues, Ross Branch, and Sebastian Buhler. Hero Electric on Tuesday unveiled a new two-wheeler Hero Eddy for the domestic market. Hero MotoCorp appoints Arun Jaura as CTO; chief compliance officer resigns

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Friday announced the appointment of industry veteran Arun Jaura as its chief technology officer (CTO) to lead the company's research and development (R&D). The company, in a statement, also announced the resignation of Neerja Sharma, company secretary and chief compliance officer. Jaura, who was the managing director of Michelin India Technology Center before taking up the current position, reports to Hero MotoCorp Chairman and CEO Pawan Munjal, the company said in a statement.
