Housing sales up 22%, new launches grow 17% in Jul-Sep across top 8 cities

Housing sales rose by 22 per cent and new supply by 17 per cent year-on-year across eight major cities during the July-September period on better consumer demand, according to real estate digital platform PropTiger.com. Housing brokerage platform PropTiger, which is owned by REA India, released its 'Real Insight Residential - July-September 2023' report on Thursday. REA India also owns Housing.com and Makaan.com. Sales of residential units increased to 1,01,220 units in the third quarter of this year from 83,220 units in the same period last year across eight major cities -- Delhi-NCR, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad. All cities, except Chennai, registered a growth in sales, with Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Pune accounting for nearly half of the total volume. Signature Global sales bookings up 38% to Rs 1,861 cr during Apr-Sept

Realty firm Signature Global has reported a 38 per cent growth in sales bookings at Rs 1,861.39 crore in the first six months of this fiscal year, on better demand for its affordable and mid-income residential projects. Its sales bookings stood at Rs 1,353 crore in the year-ago period. Last month, Signature Global successfully launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to raise Rs 730 crore. The public issue, comprising fresh issue of shares worth Rs 603 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of Rs 127 crore, was subscribed 11.88 times. According to its operational update, the company's sales bookings in volume terms rose to 1.90 million square feet during the April-September period of 2023-24 financial year, from 1.82 million square feet in the year-ago period. CREDAI asks developers to focus on green construction, seeks ITC in GST

The real estate sector has been growing phenomenally in the past two years on strong consumer demand and there is a need for developers to focus on green construction, realtors' body CREDAI President Boman Irani said on Friday. Irani was addressing the 21st CREDAI NATCON conference being held here. Around 1,400 real estate developers are participating in this event. "Real estate has been growing phenomenally," Irani said. Housing sales have risen sharply in the last two years as consumer demand revived strongly post-COVID pandemic. CREDAI Chairmam Manoj Gaur said it is the best time for the real estate sector and the momentum would continue if developers do not commit past mistakes. Housing sales rose 36 per cent year-on-year to a record 1,20,280 units across seven major cities during the July-September period on robust demand amid stable mortgage rate, according to Anarock. Housing sales stood at 88,230 units in the year-ago period across the seven major cities. Releasing the data, real estate consultant Anarock said average housing prices across the seven cities grew 11 per cent annually in the July-September period this year. Hyderabad saw the highest rise of 18 per cent. Anarock highlighted that quarterly sales in July-September touched an all-time high. In housing data, sales of apartments, villas and independent floors are included while plots are excluded. Anarock Chairman Anuj Puri highlighted that Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Pune contributed 51 per cent of the total sales. Puri noted that the continued healthy sales momentum is at least partially attributable to the repo rate pause maintained by the Reserve Bank of India in the two recent .

Housing sales across eight major cities rose 15 per cent in January-June despite slackening demand in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Kolkata, according to real estate brokerage firm PropTiger. Sales of residential properties increased to 1,66,090 units in the first half of the 2023 calendar year from 1,44,950 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. As per the data of a housing brokerage firm, housing sales in Delhi-NCR declined 26 per cent in January-June this year to 7,040 units from 9,530 in the year-ago period. Bengaluru saw an 11 per cent decline in sales to 14,210 units from 16,020 units, while Kolkata witnessed a dip of 31 per cent to 4,170 units against 6,080 units. However, housing sales in Ahmedabad rose 23 per cent to 15,710 units from 12,790 units. Housing prices surge to 59% on high demand; Delhi-NCR sees highest rise

Housing prices in Delhi-NCR rose the maximum, by 16 per cent, in the January-March period among top eight cities on better demand and higher construction cost, according to a report by CREDAI, Colliers and Liases Foras. Realtors' apex body CREDAI, real estate consultant Colliers and data analytic firm Liases Foras on Wednesday released their joint 'Housing Price-Tracker Report Q1 2023'. As per the report, housing prices across the top eight cities rose 8 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y). Delhi-NCR saw the highest increase in residential prices at 16 per cent YoY, followed by Kolkata and Bengaluru with 15 per cent and 14 per cent YoY increase respectively. The report mentioned that housing prices in Delhi-NCR have seen a steady rise since the last 11 quarters. "Notably, Dwarka Expressway witnessed a significant price rise at 59 per cent YoY, largely led by opening of Central Peripheral Road and the loop connecting Dwarka expressway with NH-8," it said. Housing sales in FY23 up 48% at Rs 3.47 trn due to higher volumes: Anarock

Housing sales rose 48 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3.47 lakh crore during the last fiscal across seven major cities on higher volumes and better price realisation, according to Anarock. Real estate consultant Anarock reported that sales of residential properties in value terms increased to Rs 3,46,960 crore last fiscal from Rs 2,34,850 crore in 2021-22. In volume terms, sales grew 36 per cent to 3,79,095 units in 2022-23 from 2,77,783 units in the previous year. The data pertains to the transactions of primary (fresh sale) housing market. "India's residential real estate segment continues to show boundless forward momentum, and is setting unprecedented benchmarks," said Anuj Puri, Chairman, Anarock Group.
