Zepto's leadership shift: CHRO Gomez exits, Mendiratta takes charge

Zepto's HR head Martin Dinesh Gomez has resigned, following which the company has reoriented the function as Chief Culture Officer and named Chandan Mendiratta for the post. Gomez has put in his papers in September and is serving his notice period in the firm, a company spokesperson told PTI. Mendiratta, Chief Brand Officer at Zepto, will now take on HR function and operational responsibility as the Chief Culture Officer, the spokesperson said. He will be responsible for employer engagement and branding. The spokesperson denied media reports of company co-founder Aadit Palicha taking over the HR role. Before Zepto, Gomez was associated with Amazon for over 11 years. He has also worked with Sapient, Accenture, Microsoft and Thomson Reuters. UKG names Jennifer Morgan as new CEO, Nitin Chandel to lead India business

UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) on Monday announced the appointment of Jennifer Morgan as its new CEO, and Nitin Chandel as the new Group Vice President and Country Manager for India. UKG is a provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions. It serves 80,000 businesses across more than 150 countries. Morgan succeeds Chris Todd, who stepped down earlier this month. She holds over three decades of experience in the enterprise software industry, having served as global head of portfolio operations at Blackstone, and co-CEO at SAP. Morgan told PTI that she envisions scaling the company's operations in India and growing UKG's India headcount by a third in FY25, building on the "strong base" of 3,000 employees. Currently, UKG's solutions are used by over 1 million employees in India across sectors like manufacturing, IT, BPO, retail, IT, and healthcare, she said. The Initial Public Offering of human resources solutions provider CIEL Group is expected in the first half of 2024. The city-based company has 'rigorously' invested in optimizing the HR processes with digital intervention, said CIEL Group Executive Chairperson and Director K Pandiarajan on Tuesday. Railway calls for speedy disposal of transfer requests on spouse ground

The Railway Board has directed the zonal railways to expeditiously dispose of pending requests of employees for transfer to the station or place of posting of their respective spouses. The communication to the principal chief personnel officers of 15 zones on August 17 came after the board received a number of representations from railway employees and their associations about delays or denial on their spouse ground transfer requests despite having a laid down policy. "It is requested that all such pending requests may be examined and disposed of in terms of laid down policy, the letter stated, adding that the respective zones should apprise the board a summary of all pending and cleared requests along with reasons for the delay. HPCL, BPCL get new directors for their human resource department: Report

State-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) on Monday got new directors for human resources, the two companies said. While K S Shetty took over as Director (Human Resources) of HPCL, Raj Kumar Dubey took over as Director (HR) at BPCL. "Prior to joining as Director (Human Resources) of HPCL, Shetty was Executive Director (Human Resources) with additional charge of Executive Director (Employee Relations) in HPCL," the company said in a statement.
