Sixty-nine of the top 100 JEE-Advanced rank-holders have secured a seat in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, continuing the trend of past several years. Of these, 68 have chosen Computer Science Engineering while one has opted for "Engineering Physics". According to statistics available with the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), 93 top candidates had chosen IIT Bombay as their first preference, and 69 of them made the cut in the first round of seat allocation for the IITs. Twenty-eight candidates among the top 100 have got admission in IIT Delhi and three in IIT Madras. Last year, 62 of the top 100 Joint Entrance Exam-JEE (Advanced) rank-holders got into IIT-Mumbai, up from 58 in 2020. Sixty-two candidates among the top 100 had joined IIT Bombay in 2019 while the number was 59 in 2018. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on Tuesday congratulated its alumnus Parag Agrawal on his elevation as CEO of the microblogging giant Twitter. Congratulations to our alumnus Dr. Parag Agrawal for being appointed the new CEO of Twitter. Dr. Agrawal obtained his B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2005. He started working at Twitter in 2011 & became the CTO in 2017, the institute tweeted. Mumbai-born Parag's mother is a retired school teacher. His father was employed in the atomic energy sector and held senior positions there. Parag (37) studied at the Atomic Energy Central School in Mumbai. He moved to the United States in 2005. In 2011, he joined Twitter while still pursuing his PhD at Stanford University. Twitter's outgoing CEO Dorsey announced on Monday that Agrawal will be the company's new chief executive as he stepped down after 16 years at the company that he co-founded and helmed.

State-owned CESL on Friday signed a Letter of Association with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) to implement electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country. Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. Under this association, both parties will collaborate to work on technological advancements in the electric vehicle charging domain by development of flagship products, standardization of technical specifications, solutions for meeting EV charging capabilities, and customized solutions for Indian EV charging ecosystem.
