Spanish PM Sanchez arrives in Vadodara to discuss ties with PM Modi

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Gujarat's Vadodara city early Monday, officials said. Sanchez's flight landed at the Vadodara airport at around 1.30 am as he began his maiden official visit to India. He is scheduled to visit Mumbai on Tuesday before returning to Spain. Sanchez will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a roadshow before jointly inaugurating the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) facility here on Monday morning. The 2.5 km roadshow from the airport to the Tata facility will have cultural shows en route. The two leaders will also visit the historic Laxmi Vilas Palace, where they will hold a bilateral meeting organised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). They will have lunch at the palace before proceeding to their respective destinations, officials said. Indian national shot dead, another injured in Mexico by unknown assailants

An Indian national living in Mexico was shot dead and another injured after they were robbed by unknown assailants in Mexico City, with Indian authorities demanding their Mexican counterparts to apprehend the culprits at the earliest. The incident took place on Saturday and the assailants robbed USD 10,000 from the Indian nationals, who have not been identified. They had exchanged the money from the vicinity of the Mexico City International Airport, El Universal newspaper reported. One of them lost his life due to the gunshots he received, and another was treated at the scene, without injuries, the report added. The Indian embassy in Mexico regrets the incident and said that they are in touch with the family and are extending all support. 52% Indians lost data in last 5 years, high back-up cost major deterrent

Almost one in every two technology device user has lost data at least once in last five years, still 62 per cent respondents do not take full back-up of data, a survey commissioned by Western Digital said on Friday. In a survey of 1,102 device users, the study found cost has major deterrent in taking back-up of their data. "52 per cent respondents have lost the data at least once in last 5 years time. 45 per cent respondents have lost the data at least once in last 1 year time," the survey said. Highest number (56 per cent) of data loss has been due to the physical damage of the device, followed by system crash (52 per cent), losing of device (39 per cent), device stolen (30 per cent), virus (22 per cent), forgetting password (21 per cent) and accedental deletion (7 per cent). The survey found that most video bloggers (50 per cent) took full back-up of their data, followed by IT professionals (43 per cent), photographer (31 per cent) and student (30 per cent). Pak court dismisses plea of visa to Indian who wants to do Hajj on foot

A Pakistan court on Wednesday dismissed a petition that urged the federal government to issue a visa to a 29-year-old Indian national, who wanted to enter the country so that he could complete a marathon journey on foot to Mecca in Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage. Shihab Bhai, who hails from Kerala, embarked on a 3,000-km journey on foot from his home state till the Wagah border last month, where he was stopped by Pakistan's immigration authorities as he did not have a visa. On Wednesday, a Lahore High Court division bench comprising Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal and Justice Muzamil Akhtar Shabbir dismissed an intra-court appeal filed by a local citizen Sarwar Taj on behalf of Shihab.
