Kerala launches new training programme benefiting over 800K students

The state-run Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has launched an ambitious initiative to provide support and guidance to over 8,00,000 students from public schools as they prepare for various undergraduate entrance examinations. KITE is the technology arm of the General Education Department of the Kerala government. ADB asks Pakistan to adopt Indian scheme ULLAS to fix its education system

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has advised Pakistan to adopt India's scheme ULLAS to fix its dysfunctional education system and impart quality training to its citizens, according to a media report. The Manila-based lender's recommendation came in response to Pakistan's request for financial support to improve its education system and impart education to all out-of-school children, The Express Tribune newspaper said. The Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) was launched by the Government of India in July last year to help non-literates and adults who missed out on formal schooling. IDA, Invest India partner for global trade fair on skill, education sector

India Didactics Association on Thursday said it has collaborated with Invest India for global trade fair -- Didac India, to boost investment in the country's promising education and skill sector. Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency that helps investors looking for investment opportunities in India, a statement said. According to the statement, with 13 years of success, Didac India is the largest event in Asia and the only one in India for educational resources and solutions for all levels and segments. Over 75% wealthy Indians keen on foreign education for their kids: Survey

Over three-fourth of wealthy Indians have sent or are planning to send their kids overseas for education, according to a survey. The survey of 1,456 Indians, having investable surplus between Rs 84 lakh (USD 100,000) and nearly Rs 17 crore (USD 2 million), conducted in March found the strong urge for overseas education with 78 per cent of the respondents saying they are keen on a foreign education for their children. Investable survey is the amount set aside for investment from overall net worth. The Global Quality of Life 2024 survey commissioned by foreign lender HSBC said the United States is top overseas destination for Indians, followed by the United Kingdom, Canada.
