Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur on Monday said only priorities of Congress MLAs close to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu are being considered while the BJP legislatures are being ignored and disrespected. Addressing the media here, a day after announcing that the legislatures of opposition BJP would boycott the Himachal government's meeting to discuss developmental priorities for their constituencies, he said that some of the Congress MLAs have contacted him to tell him that their priorities have also been ignored and they are sailing in the same boat. Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday met BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi Kangana Ranaut at her home in Bhambla to discuss the election strategy. The Himachal Pradesh BJP on Wednesday sought intervention of Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla amid apprehensions that the Assembly Speaker might suspend its MLAs or disqualify the Congress legislators who cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha election. Over 11,000 complaints pending, no platform for grievance redressal: Thakur

BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur Wednesday claimed more than 11,000 complaints were pending redressal since no alternative has been provided following the scrapping of the "Jan Manch" public grievances redressal programme. Thakur, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, also alleged that complaints on the chief minister's helpline number 1100 were not being attended to. "Jan Manch" was the BJP government's flagship public grievances redressal platform which used to be attended by ministers and officers of different departments to listen to people's complaints and provide on-the-spot solutions. Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday said that the BJP will fight hard against the state Congress government's "Tughlaqi" orders of closing down of several institutions started under his dispensation. Himachal CM holds roadshow in support of BJP candidates in MCD polls
